Review: Skinfood White Grape Fresh Foundation and Pact

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Skinfood White Grape Fresh Foundation and Pact! This review was requested by a lovely viewer, and since both products came in the shade 13 I thought they may be a good fit for my skin!
"A lightweight foundation with grape extract that provides natural coverage while keeping skin hydrated."(1)
This foundation comes packaged in a standard plastic bottle with a pump top. It's not as cute as I'd like, but it is quite elegant. This foundation is heavily scented with grapes, it's way too strong for me though!
I have the shade 13 and it is a nice pale, neutral shade. It does oxidise quite a bit though! It's not as yellow as Siberia though!
I find this foundation pretty easy to apply, it definitely lives up to the claims of having a lightweight and natural finish.
It covers up most of my redness, but there isn't very  much coverage for any acne scars or freckles. It's much more like a BB Cream than it is a foundation.
This foundation doesn't have very much staying power or oil control. It gets pretty oily through the T-Zone and tends to break up around my nose. It also wears away pretty badly on my chin, so it's definitely not a foundation I'd want to wear for a full day.
"This lightweight pact containing green grape extract creates a natural-looking, clear skin tone, with its fine, soft particles made using air jet mill technology.

Ingredients

TALC, SILICA, SERICITE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, IRON OXIDES CI77492, ALUMINA, DIMETHICON, METHICON, BORON NITRIDE, ZINC STEARATE, MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL, SQUALANE, IRON OXIDES CI77491, MINERAL OIL, TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE, LAURYL METHACRYLATE/GLYCOL DIMETHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, ULTRAMARINE CI77007, PERFUME(PASSION MOOD 20.225), IRON OXIDES CI77499, PROPYLPARABEN, METHYLPARABEN, VITIS VINIFERA(GRAPE) FRUIT EXTRACT"(1)
The pact is housed in a really cute compact and has a super cute embossed pattern on the powder itself. The packaging includes a mirror and a puff too, but I literally never use the puff. This pact has the same scent as the foundation.
I have the shade 13 in this pact too and it is quite a nice light shade!
This powder mattifies my skin quite a bit, and it also makes my foundation a shade darker.
As well as mattifying my skin, this pact also gives me a little more coverage, but it also does accentuate any pores, fine lines and flaws which I don't like.
I've applied the pact to the photo left side of my face but not to the right, you can see that it alters the colour of the foundation to be darker than with just a translucent powder.
What I Love
- Pretty, functional packaging
- Foundation starts off as a lovely pale shade
- Easy to apply
- Beautiful lightweight coverage
- Powder adds coverage

What I Don't Love
- Smells heavily of sweet grape
- Foundation has an average oil control and longevity
- Powder makes foundation a shade darker
- Powder emphasizes fine lines and flaws

Final Thoughts
My biggest fault with these products is definitely the scent, it's extremely strong and I can smell it on my skin for at least an hour after I apply it. The oil control and longevity of the foundation is pretty average, it's definitely a foundation that I would only wear for a short day rather than a full work day. The powder does add coverage, but it also emphasizes my fine lines and the texture on my skin rather than helping to hide it too.

If you can stand the smell of the foundation and you're after light coverage, this would be a lovely foundation. If you're looking for a powder that adds coverage but you don't have any fine lines to emphasize, the powder would be a lovely product for you!

  1. Hmm I don't like the fact the pact emphasises pores, that's the opposite of what I want!
Thank you for the review, first I've heard of the product.
