Fail Products - Innisfree Blackhead Out Brush

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about a very interesting product for skincare, the INNISFREE Eco Beauty Tool Blackhead Out Brush! This is going to be a relatively short review considering that it is a fail product review, but there is not much to say about the brush apart from that it doesn't work for me! I apologize for not having proper photos of the brush and packaging, I recently lost all of the data on my desktop where I was storing my older photos including these ones! (RIP desktop).
I purchased this brush from Roseroseshop for $8 (even though it's $7.70 now) The description states that the brush head is supposed to be diagonally cut, but I can barely see that on the brush I have in comparison to the photographs that Innisfree provide. It's quite a small brush, probably about 3/4 as long as my short hands (or one and a half MAC lipsticks long).
From what I gather, the brush is meant to loosen up blackheads and brush them away, but for me it does nothing other than flick cleanser into my eyes (always an issue when using cleansing brushes around the eyes). The bristles are quite long so they don't really get into pores very well, and it tends to bend and sweep over my skin rather than exfoliating it.

The other reason that there are no photos is that I took some, and it just looks like nothing is happening. The brush didn't foam up my cleansers so it looks like I'm just poking a brush into cleanser on my skin. What?

What I Love
- Moderately inexpensive ($8USD)
- Easy to store with the little rope hanger

What I Don't Love
- Doesn't foam product
- Doesn't help blackheads in the slightest
- Flicks cleanser into my eyes -.-

Final Thoughts
I was really disappointed in this brush, although I didn't fully believe it would work in the first place. It didn't help foam my cleanser and it certainly didn't help loosen or remove any black heads for me personally. I would definitely not recommend this brush to anyone who actually wants to remove blackheads and doesn't want cleanser in their eyes.

Have you tried a blackhead cleansing brush before? What was your experience like?

  1. What a fail product! And goodness, that product description was a challenge to read. It seems like your typical little gimmick that you see on the side wall in Korean stores. They all seem cute, interesting, and worth a try (since they're relatively cheap), but most of them really don't actually deliver too well...But they do seem very interesting! That's my impression at least :3

    1. That's quite an accurate impression in my opinion! Sometimes things are too good to be true (especially when it involves sweeping away stubborn blackheads)!

  2. I actually saw a relatively similar rush at TheFaceShop before but haven't got the chance to get it yet. this post definitely making me to reconsider my intention to get it.
I guess Clarisonic is still on top when it comes to these things

  4. I bought this from Rose Rose too and I agree, it's completely useless against blackheads. It's too soft and flexible. It does nothing except flick cleanser around my face!

  5. Hahaha there is a dupe of this at Daiso which I bought, which is a lot cheaper. But quality wise sounds simillar to this lol. Its just too soft and bendy, I prefer such brushes to be slightly stiffer so I can get to ckeaning my pores and blackhead.

    Thanks for the review;)
