Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about my all time favourite Lip Balm, the Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm! I was recommended this amazing Lip Balm after one of my local MAC counter ladies was appalled at the state of my ultra dry lips. After explaining that it was due to taking acne medication, she actually pointed me towards the Clarins counter as she loved this Lip Balm when she was on acne medication too! ^.^
"Reparative balm works deep within the skin’s surface to help heal dry, chapped, weather-roughened lips. Soothes the senses with aromatic plant essences. Hydration so pure and refreshing, parched lips drink in its benefits. All climates.
How to apply
Reapply throughout the day to relieve dryness, chapping and discomfort."(1)
The downside to this lip balm is that it costs $43NZD for one tube. The plus side of this is that one tube lasts about 9months for me! I really like that this lip balm has a slanted applicator, it makes it really easy to apply cleanly.
The Lip balm itself is a light pink shade that appears clear on the lips. Its quite thick in texture which takes a little while to get use to, but it means that it doesn't dry out quickly and provides a protective layer over the lips to stop them drying out from air conditioning or cold weather.
While taking acne medication, in air conditioned spaces or very cold windy weather, I would apply this lip balm almost every hour. When I'm not in any of those situations, one application can last the whole day. It makes my lips look smoother and fuller with a little bit of shine!
I would absolutely recommend this Lip Balm to any Princesses suffering from extremely dry lips or who are just wanting a really nourishing Lip Balm! ^.^

What I Love
- Lasts a long time (9months)
- Easy to apply
- Super smooth and nourishing
- Not too glossy
- Lightly candy scented
- No taste
What I Don't Love
- Expensive at $43NZD
Final Thoughts
Lip Balms are pretty boring, but really quite vital if you want to have nice looking moisturised lips! I absolutely adore everything about this Lip Balm other than the price, but since I'm on my third tube of this already it's obviously something I'm willing to compromise on!I would absolutely recommend this Lip Balm to any Princesses suffering from extremely dry lips or who are just wanting a really nourishing Lip Balm! ^.^
Sounds really great.. :)
ReplyDeleteHave you tried any of the Hurraw! lip balms? I have horrible lizard skin and they are the only products that can soothe my lips.
ReplyDeleteYes I have! I have the almond Hurraw and I'm almost all the way through it haha. I do like Hurraw, BUT I find the taste really waxy and awful, plus it doesn't create such a thick barrier over the lips so I need to apply it more often which is why I go through it so quickly.
