Fist Impression: Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum! I have been recommended this serum multiple times by readers and I found a little wee sample drifting around in my sample drawer that I had forgotten! Of course I schedulled it into my testing schedule as soon as I found it because with so many recommendations comes a bunch of curiosity.

What Does It Do?
"A moisturizing serum with organic Jeju green tea and green tea seeds that hydrate your skin from deep within!

1. More moisture and freshness with 100% green tea.
Rich in amino acids and minerals, green tea from Jeju's own green tea leaves hydrates your skin.

2. Dual Moisture-Rising Technology™ derived from green tea and green tea seed oil, The fresh green tea deeply hydrates your skin and the green tea seed oil creates a strong moisture barrier to keep your skin moisturized longer.

3. The first thing to apply after a face wash!
As the first skincare product you use, it helps hold moisture in your skin and prevents moisture loss.

*Product suggestions for the 3 most common types of skin
- oily skin: The green tea fresh line
- combination skin: The green tea balancing line
- dry skin: The green tea moisture line
- special moisturizing and nourishing care line: The green tea seed line"(1)
This serum is clear in colour, thin in texture, and easy to spread across the skin. It absorbs super quickly, and dries to a matte finish which I really like! It's hard to tell what effects it has on my skin since I am only able to use it a couple of times, but it really seems that it's only function is moisturising, which I don't need that much of to be honest! It did make my skin feel quite soft, but not overly greasy which I quite like, especially for the summer time!
Would I Purchase This Product?
Perhaps in the summer! I do usually have oily skin (the worst in summer) but at the moment my skin is still normal to dry since I am taking a very low dosage of Isotretinoin. I found that this serum made my skin feel nicely soft, hydrated it well, but not too much and dried down to a nice demi-matte finish. It's quite nice, though for about $40 it really would have to be on a low discount for me to purchase.

  1. Innisfree's green tea line seems great! I used to have one of their moisturizers. I think I might need to haul some of their products soon.
Also, Innisfree are sponsoring a drama on Onstyle right now which is on their Youtube channel with english subs. Not sure if you're into dramas but it's quite fun to watch!

  2. I felt underwhelmed by it too, maybe the hype is the problem. It's not bad, it just doesn't really DO much. Your skin looks AMAZING by the way
