Provided for Review: Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream! This cream was kindly provided to me by Wishtrend, and has just launched on the 10th of March! I have been trialling this cream for a month now, so I feel like I know enough about it to review it! ^ ^

"Midnight Blue Calming Cream is a comforting moisture cream that provides the skin with intense, soothing hydration. It is formulated using revolutionary guaiazulene combining with Centella asiatica extract and various peptides to recover damaged skin cells from stress and stimulation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply a small amount on the affected area in the morning and evening after using toner and serum.(At the last step of skincare)
Before you wear makeup, let the cream absorb well. (Your makeup can pill if you don't let the cream absorb enough)

MAIN INGREDIENTS
-Guaiazulene: It is herbal ingredients extracted from Chamomile which has natural deep purple color and this makes the blue color of the cream. It soothes and cools down an inflammation on damaged skin, also has an effect on skin regeneration. (For example, it has been proved that it has good effect on 89.7% of sunburn, 60.6%of eczema, and 86.5% of ulcerative skin disease in clinical test of Japan. Therefore it is used as a raw material of medicine such as burn ointment)
-Centella Asiatica Extract: Extract from a plant originated in Madagascar, which also called "Tiger Grass." Helps regenerating damaged skin and preventing scars. Main ingredient of the ointment Madécassol.

This Calming Cream comes packaged in an elegant glass tub with a screw top lid. There is a small white plastic stopper to keep the cream hygienic, and it also comes with a plastic spatula to keep everything nice and clean. This jar is pretty small, so perfect for travel!
Like the name suggests, this cream is blue in colour, how cute! This doesn't colour your skin blue even slightly, but it is very entertaining.
The cream is quite thick in texture, but spreads easily across the skin. It has a slightly waxy feeling, but absorbs quickly and leaves a soft matte finish on the skin. It does feel quite calming, though my skin is not particularly troublesome.
This cream is ideal for my skin during summer, or my morning moisturiser since it is quite light. I find that it provides the perfect lightly hydrated base for my make up, though I do prefer something a little heavier for night time use. I can always add a sleeping pack over this cream and it gives me gorgeously soft skin in the morning!
I really love that this cream dries to a soft matte finish, there is nothing worse than having an oily face during the summer, so I really love that this looks flattering during the heat and humidity in New Zealand.

What I Love
- Small size is great for travel
- Elegant glass packaging
- Cute blue cream, skintertainment
- Lightly hydrating, perfect for summer
- Perfect to go underneath make up
- Not a bad price at $25USD

What I Don't Love
- Not heavy enough for night time use

Final Thoughts
I am happily surprised by how much I like this calming cream! The only other products I've tried from Klairs was the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum which I loved and one of their sheet masks which I also really liked! I was slightly apprehensive about trying this cream since a calming cream isn't something I would generally pick for myself, but I am really happy with this product since I have been looking for a day time moisturiser. I think it's a perfect fit for a day time or summer moisturiser since it is very light, yet still hydrating. The blue colour is so fun too, skintertainment at it's best!

*EDIT* Although the blurb says that this cream is not for your entire face, I don't personally have any small trouble spots to just spot test this product on, and it honestly works really nicely as an all over moisturiser for my skin anyway. You don't always have to use products the way they're meant to be used, and this is such a good example of it!

I would recommend the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream to any Princesses that are looking for a lightly hydrating summer weight moisturiser!
