Hello Princesses!
This Monday I decided to try the infamous Skittlette Manicure, coined by the lovely ChitChatNails!
The DEFINITION:
(in any order on your nails so that AAABC=ABCAA=AACBA)
The DEFINITION:
skit·tle·tte:
Not quite a full skittles look, a
skittlette manicure is one with at least two different accent nails.
Pick any formation/order you wish, but for a true skittlette at least
two nails need to be the same (the others can all be different) OR two
pairs of identical nails and a different nail.
For those of you who like math/equations. A skittlette can be any of the following:
AABBC, AAABC, AABCD(in any order on your nails so that AAABC=ABCAA=AACBA)
This week I received Zoya's Pixie Dust - Godiva and OPI's Care to Danse?, and since they looked so pretty together (and I couldn't wait to wear them!) I decided to use them for my Skitlette manicure. On my pinkie finger is OPI's Second Honeymoon.
I am actually a little disappointed at the way this mani turned out, since Care to Danse is such a cool toned lilac, it doesn't fit all that well with Second Honeymoon which is a warm toned pink. It turns out that I don't own a cool toned pink, but if I could afford to drop nearly $30 on an OPI polish to complete my mani I would've chosen OPI's You Callin' Me A Lyre?
I'm now itching to complete the set of Zoya Pixie Dust's and OPI's NYC Ballet Collection! >< They are just all such gorgeous colours and I want to collect them all!
I was looking at the pixie dust polish at ulta and passed it up but I love it on you! You are totally inspiring me to do my nails!
ReplyDeleteHehe oh yay! ^^ I'm so glad I can inspire people! :D
