Review: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the iconic Touche Eclat! I purchased this in the shade 2, Luminous Ivory which is supposed to be the lightest shade in the range, and I am a little disappointed with it!

First Impression: Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation in B10! I saw this at my local YSL counter and was immediately interested by their lightest shade, B10 and asked for a cheeky sample pot (because seriously, who just buys an $80 foundation without a test run, come on).
What Does It Do?

First Impression: Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Eye Creme

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Eye Creme. I received this little tester pot when I purchased the Touche Eclat Highlighter last year, and have been using it for the past month now that I'm out of the teeny little sachets of eye cream samples. It's super expensive at $130NZD for 15ml, but is it actually worth that price?
 What Does It Do?
"BENEFITS
• Anti-puffiness
• Brightens dark circles

PRODUCT DETAILS
In addition to Glycanactif™, soothing ingredients refresh and relax the eye area, while micro-shimmer particles provide smoothing and illuminating effects.

The eyes appear fresher and more radiant:
• In one month, dark circles are less noticeable and seem to have disappeared.
• The eye area appears more toned, as if “lifted"

HOW TO USE
Apply to clean skin, around the eyes, morning and evening.
May be used under makeup." (1)

Ingredients

"Water, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glycerin, Birda Ferment Lydate, Alcohol Denat., Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Polysilicone-11, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, PTFE, Methylslanol/Silicate Crosspolymer, Rhamnose Hydroxypropyl Terahydropyrantricl, Phenoxyethanol, Ammonium Polyacryldemithyltauramide, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Propylene Glycol, Ammonium Acryldimethyltaurate/Steareth-8 Methacrylate, Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Chlorphenesin, Diemthiconol, Mica, Stearaluminum Hectorite, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Carbonate, Adensoine, Sodium Benzoate, Polygonum Fagopyrum Extract/Polygonum Fagopyrum Seed, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Salicloyl Phytosphingosine, Iron Oxides, Parfum" (2)
I find it quite interesting that this product doesn't claim to help or prevent wrinkles under the eye, but rather to mask the wrinkles with micro-shimmer particles that provide smoothing and illuminating effects. I personally find that this eye cream does nothing for my under eye wrinkles, other than making them look more obvious because they look a little shiny.
 Would I Purchase This Product?
For a whopping $130NZD for 15ml of cream, this product just is not financially viable, especially for something that only masks wrinkles rather than helping prevent or smooth them out. I don't even think this does a very good job at masking wrinkles, because I feel that the eye cream make them look even more deep set!

Has anyone had a good experience with this eye cream?

First Impressions - Yves Saint Laurent Top Secrets All-in-One BB Cream; Clear

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the most expensive BB Cream I've ever tried, the Yves Saint Laurent BB Cream in the shade Clear. This was recommended to me by my lovely local YSL counter artist after I talked about how I liked the way the YSL CC Cream made my skin feel, but how weird it made it look! You can check out the YSL CC Cream review here!
What Does It Do?
"Hydrate - Conceal - Correct - Protect - Prime: Top Secrets all-in-one BB Cream Skintone Perfector primes the skin to conceal imperfections with non-stop hydration for all complexions, SPF 25. Available in 3 shades.

I was very hesitant to accept this sample because I was doubtful that it would be pale enough for me considering all of the YSL foundation "pale" shades are slightly too dark, but this was pleasantly surprising! This is the clear shade, and I'm truly not sure whether I should be offended or that it's just called clear because it has very little pigmentation in the product. Either way, it's very pale and neutral leaning warm toned. It blends right into the skin leaving very little coverage, but it does blur some imperfections and larger pores! ^.^
I've used this BB Cream as a primer with foundations and just as a stand alone BB Cream and it works just as well either way! It primes my skin amazingly, gives a lovely natural skin look by itself and makes my skin feel amazing!

Would I Purchase This Product?
I would love to, but at $81NZD it's quite expensive for 40mls of product. I really love the product, but I consider it more of a primer or tinted moisturizer than a BB Cream since it's so sheer! It smells amazing, makes my skin look and feel incredibly healthy, so if I could afford it I would definitely buy it!

First Impression: YSL Forever Light Creator CC Cream; Rose and Lavender

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about one of the higher end CC Creams, the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator CC Cream in Rose and Lavender! I first picked up a tester of the Lavender CC Cream because I thought that the Lavender shade would be good for my skin, but later went back and picked up the Rose colour because the Lavender was too dark. :C I usually only like Asian CC Creams, so how did this Western CC Cream compare?

 What Is It?
"FLAWLESS SKIN DIFFUSES PURE LIGHT. The first CC cream by YSL, integrating the GlycanactifWT™ complex, visibly corrects the appearance of skin tone irregularities immediately helping each woman to reveal their individual glow. Upon application, the lightweight refreshing texture with colour correcting pigments evens skin tone for a natural looking radiant effect. Skin's appearance is visibly improved: texture looks smooth, pores appear minimised and imperfections look reduced. Skin discovers an exceptional radiance and looks more flawless. Broad spectrum UVA/UVB helps to protect against the visible signs of premature skin ageing. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. SPF 35.

Available in three shades to answer all skin colour irregularities: Apricot: For a healthy golden glow Lavender: For a natural bright glow Rose: For a fresh rosy glow The benefits: Even-toned: the tinted formula conceals colour irregularities Correction: improves the appearance of imperfections such as dark spots, pores and redness Uniformity: evens skin tone and texture looks more refined Radiance: helps to reveal skin’s natural glow" (1

The Rose shade is supposed to be for pale skin (as usual) but since I don't always suit pinky shades I wasn't super sure about how this would work for my warm toned skin.
I found that the CC Cream stuck terrible to any dry patches on my face. It actually stuck to skin that I never even thought was dry and made my skin look dry and flakey overall.
The Rose shade makes my face look a little too pink in comparison to my neck.
It did not help with pores, fine lines or longevity of my foundation. In fact it actually made the foundation settle into my pores more than usual.
The Lavender colour was even worse for colour than the Rose, but with the same skincare effect.
I have to say that the only thing I liked about this CC Cream was that it made my skin feel beautiful after I took it off. I assume that it's the added skincare in the CC Cream, so I'd prefer to buy the regular skincare rather than a CC Cream that makes my skin look so dry!

Would I Purchase This Product?
No. It's incredibly expensive, both of the colours look terrible on my skin tone and the CC Cream makes my skin look so dry and icky! I'd rather use my money to buy the skincare that comes with this CC Cream which made my face feel so beautiful!

I hope this review was helpful for you Princesses who may not have a local YSL counter! ^.^

Sunday Swatches: Concealer Swatches

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be showing you my collection of Concealers! ^.^ A couple of these concealers are actually more like highlighters (YSL and MAC) but I use them to brighten my under eye area and conceal my baby dark circles, so I thought I would include them in this post!
(This swatch of Meow Cosmetics Concealer isn't very good - check out the bigger swatch for a more accurate photo)

1 - Meow Cosmetics Concealer - Himalayan
2 - Meow Cosmetics Undereye Concealer - Himalayan
3 - Meow Cosmetics Concealer - Bengal
4 - Meow Cosmetics Undereye Concealer - Bengal
5 - Meow Cosmetics Concealer - Angora
6 - Meow Cosmetics Undereye Concealer - Angora
7 - Art Deco Camouflage Cream - 2
8 - Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat - 02
9 - MAC Prep + Prime - Radiant Rose
 10 - Maybelline Mineral Power - Ivory
11 - MAC Pro Longwear - NW13
12 - TonyMoly Baby doll pot concealer - Light Beige
13 - Moisture Mist  Circle Lightner - 251 Pale
14 - Dermal Cover Camouflage Makeup - Paradise
15 - Natio Young Camouflage Tinted Spot Cream
Woohoo concealers! My most used concealer is actually MAC Prep + Prime - Radiant Rose, which you might think is a weird choice since I have yellow toned skin, but the pink colour brightens a lot more effectively than a yellow colour, and also helps to give my face a bit of colour (not unlike using a blusher!)
I hope you Princesses enjoyed this post! Feel free to share these swatch pictures - but please provide a link to this blog post if you do! xx

What sort of swatches would you like to see next?
