Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Yadah Oh My Sun Slush Sunscreen! This sunscreen was sent to me for review by BB Cosmetic!
"Organic prickly pear cactus extract and transparent moisturizing capsules with plant moisturizing agent protects the skin from UV rays. It’s slush type sunblock. Strong sun protection + soothing effect + moisturizes. It contains more than 50% of organic prickly pear cactus extract, grown in clean environment-friendly farms. It soothes reddish sun baked skin and gives cooling effect. Aqua moisture capsules in sun slush burst and provide moisture into the skin. Plant moisturizing agents strengthen skin barrier and moisturize the skin"(1)
This sunscreen comes in a blindingly green squeeze tube.
This sunscreen has the most interesting texture! It feels slightly grainy initially, but it actually has aqua moisture capsules that burst when applied to the skin to provide extra moisture to the skin.I find that this sunscreen takes a little while to absorb or dry down. I believe it takes a little longer because the little beads burst and add extra hydration, so as you rub or pat it into your skin it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere, then all of a sudden it's already dried down.
I did find this sunscreen to be quite moisturizing, which isn't really ideal for me during summer. This is a much better quality for me during winter, so I will save the last half of the tube for the cooler months when my skin needs the extra hydration. While using this sunscreen I did not burn or tan in any way. Yay!
What I Love
- Inexpensive at $18USD
- Mostly easy to use
- Works well, no tan or burns
- Hydrates nicely, but would be better for winter weather
- Doesn't leave an unpleasant residue on the skin
- Smells really nice, though quite strong

What I Don't Love
- The packaging isn't really for me
- Can be slow to apply due to the bursting beads
- A little too heavy for summer for me personally

Final Thoughts
I think I would enjoy this sunscreen more during winter than I do during summer since it is a hydrating formula, but I think this is actually quite a fun sunscreen to use! It's definitely the first sunscreen that I've used that has a grainy texture and capsules of hydration so I really do have to give this one to Yadah for ingenuity, it's not often I come across a product I haven't tried before! Most of the points that I don't like about this product are very personal, I prefer hydrating sunscreens during winter and I prefer more princessey packaging, but these shouldn't deter you from trying this sunscreen if those points don't bother you. Just be aware that it takes a little longer to apply than your average sunscreen and is quite scented for those that are sensitive to scents!
I would recommend the Yadah Oh My Slush Sunscreen to any Princesses looking for a unique, hydrating sunscreen!
