First Impression: LUSH Million Dollar Moisturiser

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the LUSH Million Dollar Moisturiser. As of right this minute I am preparing for Wisdom Tooth surgery! I'm having all four out under general anaesthetic, so if I seem a little loopy on social media, that will be why! ^ ^

What Does It Do?
"Lounging in the sun is a job for the super rich, like the thick and creamy almond, sesame seed and oatmeal decoction inside this luxurious facial suncare. Reflective pigments will highlight your face with a Hollywood glow, so make your next walk on the beach a walk of fame safe from the sun's rays (but maybe not the papparazzi you've attracted along). Beware: sweet tonka absolute and delicate lavender make you feel like a million dollars... so you might pick up some new, diva-ish habits on the way.

Ingredients
Almond, Sesame Seeds (Sesamum indicum), Glycerine (Glycerine), Honey (Honey), Octocrylene (Octocrylene), Octylmethoxycinnamate (Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate), Organic Sesame Oil, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane), Fair Trade Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Sodium Polyacrylate, Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata), Tincture of Benzoin (Styrax benzoin), Lavender Absolute (Lavandula angustifolia), Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis), *Benzyl Benzoate (*Benzyl Benzoate), *Citral (*Citral), Coumarin (Coumarin), Geraniol (Geraniol), *Linalool (*Linalool), *Limonene (*Limonene), Perfume (Perfume), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide (Titanium Dioxide), Methylparaben, Propylparaben (Propylparaben)"(1)
This moisturiser has an interesting texture, it looks a lot like their cuticle butter and is quite hard to spread out over the skin. It absorbs really slowly and the scent is very intense, it actually smells so strongly that it makes me feel a little ill which is funny since I usually quite like scented products!
This moisturiser makes my skin super glowy, how pretty! It does however, highlight every nook, cranny and pore on my face.
This is uh, not so pretty!
Would I Purchase This Product?
No. This is a $70NZD moisturiser that essentially turns me into pore city (*cue rack city music*) and it's not really flattering on my skin. It does give me a beautiful glow on the parts of my face that are pretty perfect looking, but since it's a moisturiser it's not a product I can use selectively. It did hydrate my skin, but was hard to apply and slow to absorb so it's not something I would reach for in the day time, more like a night moisturiser!

It's not my cup of tea, but if you are a Princesses that wants a moisturiser that makes your skin glow this may be for you! ^ ^

  1. This might be good for the décolletage to moisturise and highlight when you're wearing a scoop neck or a v neck! But yikes this is pricey!

    1. Ooh good idea! I usually only wear dry glitters so I wonder if this would smudge on my clothing though!
