Fail or Holy Grail Review: Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara! I have been wanting to try this mascara for quite some time now and it has been evading me! First I accidentally removed it from my cart from my initial Sasa purchase, then I couldn't find any stores that would ship it to me for less than a $15 shipping charge (lol no thanks) so even though I wanted the Volume mascara, I ended up getting the Lengthening mascara and I fell in love.

Fail or Holy Grail Review: Fairy Drops Quattro Mascara

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Fairy Drops Quattro Mascara! I picked this product up from Sasa recently because I needed a new mascara. I actually had both this mascara as well one of the Heroine Make mascaras in my shopping cart and ultimately decided on trying the Heroine Make Mascara. Somehow my brain decided to remove the Heroine Make Mascara from the cart and keep the Fairy Drops in, so I'm reviewing the Fairy Drops Mascara instead!

East VS West Review: Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara VS Innisfree Skinny Waterproof Microcara

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be doing my very first East VS West comparison! I really couldn't think of a better name than East VS West, but if there are any suggestions for this series I would love to hear it! ^ ^ Earlier on in the month I reviewed the Innisfree Skinny Waterproof Microcara, which I initially bought because I heard that it was very similar to the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara but cheaper. I really wanted to compare them, since the price difference is pretty substantial!

Fail or Holy Grail Review: Holika Holika Magic Pole Mascara, Skinfood My Short Cake Setting Mascara, The Body Shop Skinny Thin Felt Tip Eyeliner

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about three fail eye products that I found at the same time! I decided to pop these into one post as they aren't really long enough or interesting enough to warrant their own Fail or Holy Grail post!

Holika Holika Magic Pole Mascara: Long and Curl

"Waterproof Mascara with magical power. A specially designed Memory Curl Polymer makes curling eyelashes all day long. Mild Mascara for Anyone with sensitive eyes or with concerns painful eyes. A non-smudge, just gentle cleansing also involving exfoliation. Use warm water only.Contents
Magical Volume Powder :
It can help extreme voluming abundant to the roots of the eyelashes from outside to inside.

Options
#03 Volume & Curl (Waterproof), #04 Long & Curl (Waterproof)

How to use
Lift eyelashed up with Magic stick the eyelashes individual.
Spread eyelashes with magic ball."(1)
I adore the packaging of this mascara, it's sturdy, cute and I just love the little dome on the top!
However, I do not adore the mascara wand. It's almost bald, only having three stripes of spikes running down the entire wand with a ball tip that has no spikes on the tip. I find it really difficult to use, and poked myself in the eyeball all three times that I used it. Getting waterproof mascara off your contacts isn't a walk in the park!
I find that it makes my lashes look long, but quite spidery. The fail part of this
mascara is absolutely the wand, I just can't stand it at all!

Skinfood My Short Cake Setting Mascara
"It coats every inch of eyelashes without smudging to provide amazing curls and rich eyelashes at the same time. *How to Use- Use the Eyelash Up Gold (eyelash curler) to curl your eyelashes, and use the product for more dramatic eyelash makeup. -Gently lift your eyelids with your fingers and intensively apply on the roots. Lightly shake the brush upwards to brush your eyelashes." (2)
This mascara makes my eyelashes look gorgeous! They're nicely separated and voluminous.
BUT, it's sticky. If I sneeze or just blink forcefully, my lashes stick together in the grossest way. You can see in the above photo that it looks like it hasn't dried properly, which I think it accurate. No matter how long I leave the mascara on my eye, or how long I leave the wand out of the bottle, this mascara will not dry down. I don't understand why it won't, but it smudges and sticks and I hate it.

The Body Shop Skinny Thin Felt Eyeliner
"With a fine felt tip to leave you primed for precision. The thinner the line the more natural the look, but this multitalented master can be built up to achieve anything from a bold statement, to intricate artwork.
• Easy to apply and get in close to the lash line

• Fast drying

• Smudge proof

• Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers"(3)
This liner has a thin felt tip, but it's quite a dry felt tip. By that I mean that just using the thin tip will not give you enough ink to create a thin line. You can apply a bit of pressure to the tip to push the ink out, but this gives a wider line. It doesn't create thin lines after the first five times that I used it, I store it tip down and I've never had a liner go so dry so quickly!
I definitely regret purchasing this liner, it just doesn't work for thin lines, how dry does that wing look!?

I hope you enjoyed this Fail Eye Products Post, did you try any of these products too?

Store Review: Style Korean

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about my shopping experience with Style Korean! Style Korean used to be called Honest Skin who I reviewed back in June, so I was really interested to see whether they had picked up their game since my last order was less than satisfactory.

Website Practicality
Style Korean's website needs work. I actually really like the little black sidebar, it's really functional and handy! They have duplicate tabs on the blue top bar for no reason though. It's difficult to create a log in (they saved the Honest Skin sign ups so I had to have my password reset) and the site doesn't seem to save the addresses properly. It's not hard to navigate, but it's a little annoying.

Price Comparison
Style Korean has almost the lowest prices I've ever seen, but the shipping price isn't fantastic, making this store quite expensive to shop at. If I was to purchase anything from Style Korean, it would be something that is so ridiculously low (from clearance section or weekly discount) so that it counteracts their high shipping price.

Style Korean
Cookie Blusher $4.44 + Shipping $5.95 = $10.39

Roseroseshop
Cookie Blusher  $4.00 + Shipping $4.17 = $8.17

Cosmetic Love
Cookie Blusher $5.90 + Shipping $0.00 = $5.90

 Shipping and Packaging
I placed my order on the 17th of June and my order was shipping on the 19th. My shipping cost $5.95USD through Korea Post for the 4 products weighing 90g. The shipping was tracked, and arrived at my door on the 1st of July. It was well wrapped and nothing was harmed during shipping.
Products
I was persuaded to shop with Style Korean due to their clearance sale! The prices were seriously low, so I thought it would be the most risk free way to try their services.
Though these blushers were super cheap, they're seriously lacking pigmentation. These swatches are all done with three or four applications, not just one which makes the quality a little more shocking.
The third shade is brown. Literally. It's not my favourite shade and I'm not sure how much use I will get out of it! This is the most pigmented out of the three shades I purchased.

The fourth shade is supposed to be peach, but swatches a very light pink. It looks cute, so I'm excited to see how this looks on my skin!

The packaging of this mascara is super cute and I'm really excited to use it! ^.^

What I Love
- Super cheap clearance prices
- (Mostly) cheap regular prices
- Well packaged shipping
- Average length of shipping time

What I Don't Love
- Website is still a little buggy
- Shipping is expensive
- Still don't fully trust them after shopping with Honest Skin

Final Thoughts
Although nothing went wrong with this order from Style Korean, I'm not sure if I would shop with them very often because of my bad experience with Honest Skin (who is the same company, just re branded). The prices on clearance are fabulous, and juxtaposed with the high shipping cost they do even it out to be quite a good deal. Personally, I'd rather shop somewhere that has better customer service and spend a couple more dollars.

I would recommend shopping with Style Korean if they stock a product you can't find anywhere else, have the lowest price or are offering free shipping! ^.^

Review: Collection Does It All Mascara

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Collection Does It All Mascara! This mascara claims to deliver curled, volumized, lengthened, conditioned and long-lasting lashes, which sounds like a perfect mascara! This was a cult favourite last year due to Shaaanxo loving it and showing it in videos quite a lot, and was hard to get hold of for a little while, but like 99% of cult favourites, I don't really like it.

"- Get 5 lash benefits in just 1 application with Does It All Mascara!

- The ultimate lash wish list is now a reality: curled, volumized, lengthened, conditioned and long-lasting.

- The enhanced multi bristle rubber brush has extra spikes to deliver the maximum amount of product, coating even the shortest lashes for that wide eyed look.

- The long-lasting, conditioning formula ensures the effect lasts all day." (1)
I really hated the formula of this mascara for the first month of use, but when it dried up a little I found it easier to work with. My lashes are naturally curly and a moderate length and thickness, so I don't really see this mascara particularly excelling in any area there, but it does make my lashes look nicely separated and feathery instead of being clumpy which I like!

I usually have trouble with mascara smudging on my lower lid because I have quite puffy Aegyo-sal (under-eye bags) when I smile. However, this mascara smudges way worse than any other waterproof formula I have tried, smudging after a measly 5 minutes after application. Lets not even mention what happens after 6 hours when my skin gets oilier. I also wipe any marks off around once an hour.

What I Love
- Decent lengthening, separating and volumizing
- Inexpensive at $17NZD
- I prefer rubber bristles

What I Don't Love
- Mascara packaging doesn't stand by itself (irritating to store)
- Smudges quickly and all day
- I don't love the formula for the first month (even quicker to smudge)
Final Thoughts
I would not purchase this mascara again based solely on how badly it smudges on my upper and lower eyelids. It means that I need to check if my mascara has smudged every hour that I wear it and it's just annoying. I do like that it makes my lashes look lovely and feathery, but I have other mascaras that give a similar feathery look and don't make me look like a raccoon, so I think I'll just stick with them, and I suggest you do the same if mascara tends to smudge for you too!

If you don't have issues with mascara smudging easily and are looking for a good all rounder mascara, I suggest giving this one a go! For $17NZD it's not too much to risk! ^.^

Did you try the cult favourite Collection Does It All Mascara? How did it fare on your lashes?
