Provided for Review: Etude House Tint My Brow Gel

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Etude House Tint My Brow Gel in the shade Grey Brown! This product was kindly sent to me for review by BB Cosmetic, but I've been itching to try this brow tint out since it came out!

"New-concept eyebrow gel tint that makes eyebrow makeup last long after removing the tint.

How to apply
1) After trimming the eyebrows without applying skincare product or makeup, apply a liberal amount according to the desired shape of the eyebrow. (Apply a liberal amount to remove the pack easily.)2) Dry for at least 2 housr. For stronger coloration, apply before going to bed at night and remove the next morning.

3) After drying completely, remove slowly starting from the tail of the eyebrow. (Do not remove the pack forcibly since it may pull out the eyebrow.)

4) Do not use a cleansing product (product with detergency) or apply force on the eyebrow area within 24 hours of using the product."(1)
This tint comes housed in a plain brown tube with a brush wand. The product is really thick and gooey.
I chose the colour Grey Brown as I have very dark, cool toned hair. The gel is really fun to use, you apply it to your brows, wait for it to dry, peel it off and then you have a cool tint!
That is, until the tint goes orange. After about an hour of being on the skin (or if i do an express tint) the tint goes from being grey brown to orange. Really quite orange.
This is what my brows look like after a 2 hour express application. There is some staining, but not as much staining in the scar in my eyebrow (it's from chickenpox!).
This is my brows over 6 days when leaving the tint on overnight! It lasts quite nicely, but wow those brows are orange!
On the 7th day there is still a little bit of tint in my brows, but not a huge amount. I am happy with the 6 days of tint this product provides, and if the tint actually stayed grey brown, or even brown, this would be a great product!
What I Love
- Tints nicely for a whole week
- Impossible to scrub off
- Fun and easy to use
- Can be used overnight easily
- Peels off a really fun duplicate brow you can scare your insty followers with

What I Don't Love
- Turns orange after one hour
- Impossible to scrub the orange off

Final Thoughts
I wish that this tint didn't turn a horrific shade of orange because it is actually a fantastic product, but it does turn orange and there doesn't seem to be any way of stopping this. Other than the colour, I love everything about this tint, it tints my brows evenly, it lasts vividly for 5 full days (even while using a make up remover every night) and still lingers for the rest of the week, and it's just a really fun and convenient product to use. However, I cannot walk around with orange eyebrows when I really do need grey/brown eyebrows to match the rest of my hair, so I am sad to say that this isn't going to be a product I continue to use. Etude House recently brought out 4 new shades, but they all seem to be variations on warm tones anyway, so there is nothing in there for me.

I would recommend the Etude House Tint My Brow Gel to any Princesses that want a long lasting, vividly coloured tint, but not to any Princesses looking for a cool toned brow tint.

  1. It's such a shame it turns orange. I'd love something like this to save a bit of time doing my eyebrows in the morning.
