Store Review: Boohoo

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about my shopping experience at Boohoo! I hear so much about this website on ads, from other beauty gurus and random people and have never actually shopped here before. I had a quick look through the website and fell in love with a pair of shoes, so decided to make a little purchase.

Website Practicality
This website is quite practical and I found it easy to create an account, fill my cart and check out. There are a lot of drop down categories and search tabs down the left side of the site, but every time my cursor moves past the drop down bars at the top of the page it brings down the whole section and it's hard to get the cursor out of the drop down bar so it disappears. I spent a lot of time trying to avoid going near the top bar. I also really wish that they had customer reviews on products.
Price Comparison
Since Boohoo sells their own stock there isn't really a price comparison to do, but their clothing is pretty inexpensive without looking cheap.

Shipping and Packaging
I made my purchase on the 28th of June and my package was shipped on the 30th. My package arrived on the 7th of July. My items were individually wrapped and nothing was harmed during transit.
Products
Edith Low Block Wrap Strap Heel - $60
These are super cute, but the tie is almost twice as long as pictured which is a little annoying. The advertising photo shows the tie wrapping once, maybe twice around the foot, but this wraps three to four times.
I think I might take these to be altered as the tie just looks ridiculous, they're a cute pair of shoes though!
Enja Button Through Scalloped Hem A Line Skirt - $25
This skirt is so cute, but very see through and small.
Final Thoughts
I think the biggest thing missing from Boohoo is customer reviews. They have so many advertisements, but I really wish they had just a little section for customer reviews and photos. The shipping was quick, but the items were not as accurate as what I had hoped for and the prices aren't low enough for me to take a gamble on the quality. I would instead rather use my money on clothing I can see in real life, rather than taking a chance on a cute looking item that may turn up unusable since it is see through.

  1. Those shoes are really cute. It's a bummer the straps were too long. I hate it when things aren't as they're pictures online.

Thanks for the review. I've wanted to buy from them for a while but wasn't sure about the quality in their products.

    1. I had the straps cut in half by the cobbler and they look SO CUTE! :D The quality is fairly poor though, especially for the price.

    1. Hmm I'm not actually sure! Both tags on my products said the product was made in China, and the certainly didn't ship from New Zealand.
