Provided for Review: Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum! This Serum was sent to me for review by Wishtrend, and after the success I had with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum I was eager to try this serum out!
"Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advanced Serum for the nourishment that your skin deserves ! The new and improved formula has been designed with less ingredients for more effects. Made with simpler ingredients directly from Mother Earth, the Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advanced Serum has been created with a sheer 21.5% of pure vitamin C for the maximum nourishment. When everyone said it was impossible, we made it happen.

Just for you, We increased the level of vitamin C and hydration while lowering the stickiness and ingredients for a healthier, pure formula to replenish moisture while restoring suppleness to the skin. Rejuvenate and nourish with the new and improved, all-natural upgraded formula to restore balance and moisture to your skin today.

1) After cleansing, at the last step of your basic care, apply an adequate amount to the face, dividing up the portions and applying each small portion to different areas. Lightly tap the area to help absorption.
2) Gently massage the whole face using your palms about 2-3 times to ensure full absorption.

Ingredients: Hippophae Rhamnoides Water (70%), Ascorbic Acid (21.5%), Sodium Lactate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol"(1)
This Serum comes packaged in an obnoxiously bright orange box which is something I would expect from a Vitamin C Serum.
I find it interesting that the biggest text is at the top of the box, warning consumers to keep the bottle in the fridge.
The Serum comes in a sealed bottle with a sealed dropper top. This means that there should be no leakage from the bottle during transit (though of course sometimes these things happen!).
The bottle itself is a thick, dark glass. This protects the serum from some sunlight, but it still needs to be stored correctly to keep the serum clear in colour. Once it darkens to yellow/amber the serum will not be as effective.

The serum is very thin in texture, and smells like oranges. It is easy to apply and absorbs very quickly, leaving a sticky finish. I find that this leaves a sticky finish on my skin no matter if I use 2 drops or 8. I don't feel like I need to rinse it off my face, and it doesn't turn my skin orange either which is nice!

I do have to make sure that I apply sunscreen religiously though, even on this day where I thought I would be inside all day out of the sun I accidentally had prolonged sun exposure (all of 10mins) while eating my lunch in the living room and actually got a light sun burn. Not good, not smart.
Here are the before and after shots, I can't tell too much difference in terms of texture improvement or acne scar reduction. Also, I took the before pictures the day after I had all four of my Wisdom Teeth removed, which hopefully explains the dramatic reduction of face chub. I'm pretty happy to say that was the extent of my swelling and bruising though.

I was hoping to see a reduction in the scar above my lip, but nothing so far.

What I Love
- Fairly inexpensive at $25USD
- Exfoliates my skin gently, but well
- Brightens skin subtly

What I Don't Love
- No immediate results (greedy, I know)

Final Thoughts
I would love to rave about this Vitamin C Serum, but in a months time I haven't noticed any lightening of acne scarring or improvement in my skin texture overall. I have purchased a low PH toner in order to prep my skin better for this serum as I know it won't work as well without the proper PH, but I did think I would see some results without one. I know I'm not the only one to not have results from this product, but I'm hoping that I'll update this after using the whole bottle with some more positive results!

Thank you so much to Wishtrend for sending this product for review!

  1. Haha, totally not greedy to want quick results. I feel the same way with skincare, especially since there are so many things to try out. I love this serum, but I didn't repurchase because I didn't use it everyday and it just ended up oxidizing on me :(
