First Impression: Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence, Mask and Steam Cream

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about my first impressions on some of the Benton Snail Bee High Content Skincare! This skincare was really interesting for me to try since I was initially quite scared off by the mould scandal and lack of preservatives in the formula, but they are so widely loved that I thought I should put my big girl pants on and give them a go.

What Does It Do?
Snail Bee High Content Essence
"Flaunt a flawless complexion with Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence. This highly concentrated essence provides abundant hydration and nourishment from its premium key components - snail slime filtrate and bee venom. It is specially formulated to help the skin recover from damage while also nourishing it to be able to develop healthier skin cells. This healthy skin cells would result into softer, smoother skin texture and brighter complexion. This also perfectly soothes irritated skin as it contains antibacterial herbal extracts that prevents the skin from getting damaged.

How to use After washing and toning, dispense an appropriate amount of the essence onto your palms and spread all over the face and neck. Massage gently using fingertips until fully absorbed

This essence is almost like a watery gel and is quite thin in texture. It spreads easily across my skin and absorbs quickly leaving a non tacky finish. I was only able to use this essence three times since I only had one sachet, but oh my wow. This essence gave me that K-Beauty glow!

This mask has a nice thick material and comes drenched in serum. The serum doesn't smell awful, though I can't really name the scent. The mask also fits kinda badly, it won't stick to my jaw and since it is quite big on my face it tends to peel away from my hairline. I was able to wear it for about an hour, though I did need to use my Daiso silicone face cover to keep the chin area on. The leftover essence did take a while to sink into my skin and it did leave my skin feeling slightly sticky, but overall my skin felt quite moisturised. I don't think this brightened my skin very much, especially considering how bright the essence made it!

Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream
"A perfect skin moisturizer for hypersensitive skin. Benton's Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream is specially formulated with mild natural ingredients using the advanced high temperature steam technology. This process allows all the ingredients to blend together therefore maximizing their nourishing ability. Snail slime filtrate and bee venom are this cream's key components which are both premium natural ingredients highly beneficial to the skin. The nutrients from these extracts work in complete synergy to soothe irritated skin, treat acne and help the skin develop healthier cells. This contains no harmful ingredients and is highly suitable for sensitive skin.

How to use At the last step of your basic skincare routine, scoop an appropriate amount of the cream and gently massage all over the face and neck for 1 to 2 minutes. Pat gently for better absorption

Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Stearic Acid, Behenyl Alcohol, Phytosqualene, Human Ogliopeptide-1, Bee Venom, Arbutin, Adenosine, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Arginine, Carbomer, Urea, Tocopher Leaf Extract, Salix Alba (Willow Bark) Extract, Ulmus Campestris (Elm) Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pilsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract"(3)
This cream is moderately thick and creamy, but spreads really easily across the skin. This cream had an interested scent, it almost smells like nothing, but not quite! This cream made my skin feel really soft initially, but it made it really oily the morning after and did give me a couple of teeny pimples. I am still on acne medication, so these are not major breakouts, but I don't really like products that give me little pimples, obviously!
Would I Purchase These Products?
I would definitely purchase the Essence, it gave me that K-Beauty glow and made my skin feel really hydrated and soft! I would not purchase the Steam Cream because it did give me pimples, and made my skin really oily so I just don't think it's the right type of product for me. I probably wouldn't purchase more of the masks since they were a bit of a pain in terms of fit and didn't provide amazing results, but they weren't awful. It is what it is, sometimes only one product from a massive line works, and this is potentially the case here!

  1. I bought the masks ages ago and thought nothing of them (no brightening, no smoothing, nada) until I tried it on troubled skin. Now it's an absolute HG and is my first line of defence whenever my skin runs into ANY kind of trouble! Soothes redness rights away and makes any soon-to-be-spots or irritated patches disappear~

  2. I do like the mask, used the steam cream as a foot cream (it's amazing at softening feet) because it was way too thick to use on my (normal) skin, and now you've made me interested in trying the essence!
