Review: Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be reviewing Missha's Perfect Cover BB Cream in No.13 - Milky Beige.
I bought this BB Cream from the Missha store in Auckland for $40, which is a little expensive, but since it's quite a large size (50ml) I was quite happy to pay the price! It comes with a pump dispenser, which is very hygienic and easy to keep clean.
 Missha's NZ online store  says;
World Best Seller BB Cream Specialized 3-in-1 BB cream with excellent covering plus UV screening, whitening and wrinkle care effect

Multi Function BB Cream
This 3-in 1 BB Cream which evens and whitens skin tone white preventing aging process with advanced covering effect

Perfect Coverage
It covers blemishes effectively while making the skin looks natural and splendid with smooth texture and finish.

Perfect on you skin
Containing Rosemary extracts and Camomile extracts with skin calming effect, Gatuline RC with skin resilience effect (extracted from beech bud), moisturizing ingredient of hyaluronic acid and ceramide with moisturizing effect, it keeps the skin comfortable and moisturized.

Excellent UV Screening Effect
SPF 42/PA+++ You don't need to apply sunblock separately.

 Ingredients
It contains not only ingredients which are certificated from KFDA (Korea Food and Drug Administration) but also many of moisturizing ingredients, soothing ingredients and firming ingredients.

Camomile Extract
It has anti inflammation and soothing effect, also helps to restoration of skin cell and weakens allergic reaction.

Rosemary Extract
It prevents from skin aging with calming, soothing, anti fungal and anti oxidization.

Ceramide
It is a main ingredient which consists of stratum coreneum and keeps the skin moisturized with moisture holding effect.

Hyaluronic Acid
It is one of NMF(natural moisturizing factor) ingredients which is made by the latest BIO technology. It protects skin from irritations or bacteria and keeps the skin moist while creating thin and transparent barrier on the epidermis.

Gatuline RC
It is extracted from beech bud, promotes metabolism and holding energy effect, so that it is effective for firming and moisturizing effects.

You can see from the swatches that the colour is a little too pink for my yellow skin tone, but it's incredibly pale so it should match my skin more than others.
The BB Cream doesn't look too pink on my face and is pale enough to match my neck! Yay! ^^

Coverage
Fantastic! It's not too heavy (mask-like) nor too light (tinted moisturizer). If I wore concealer on my blemishes you wouldn't be able to see them at all, but for review purposes I just used the BB Cream. It does have a dewy finish, but when finished with a translucent powder it doesn't look oily, but does maintain the glowy look.

Colour
It has quite a pink/cool tone on my hand swatch, but not so much on my face. It seems like a pretty neutral colour which is great! No.13 is the palest shade Missha make and it's a good match for me! For once my face doesn't look weirdly tan! ^^

Texture

The texture isn't super thin or super thick and spreads out easily.

Oil Control
Not too bad! It does tend to get a little oily around my nose, but my chin and forehead are just fine. It definitely has a glowy/dewy finish, so be aware that if you don't want to look too dewy you will need a finishing powder.

   Scent
Very much like sunscreen! Since I quite like the sunscreen scent this doesn't bother me at all.

Lasting Power
Good! The colour doesn't oxidise too much and it doesn't wear off. Because of the dewy finish it does tend to get a little oily around my nose after 5 hours, but this is easily fixed with blotting paper and translucent powder.

Does it do what's promised?

I'm not quite sure. I haven't seen any whitening of my skin or any of the claimed anti-aging, but it does provide great coverage!

Things I Love
  Good coverage

Decent oil control and lasting power
Easy to apply

Glowy finish without being too oily
Pale enough for my skin tone
High SPF and PA+++
Pleasant Scent

Things I don't Love
Slightly pink toned

Mid range price (not dirt cheap)
Not available locally

Final Thoughts
I absolutely adore my Missha BB Creams! Finally there is a BB Cream that is pale enough for me to wear without looking like I've had an accidental spray tan on my face (I kid you not, someone asked me if I had spray tanned my face once) I love that the finish is glowy without being too oily. I would happily pay $40 for another bottle after I finish this one!

    1. Oh I know it's a lot cheaper online, but when I bought it over a year ago I wasn't so wise about online shopping! ;) Thanks for the tip though!

  3. It's my favourite BB Cream. I use it in #21. Julia's right - online it seems to be only about $13 for 50mls, even with the reputable sellers. ^^ I've tried quite a few BB Creams, but I always come back to this one.

  7. Too bad they're not cruelty-free as it sounds like something I'd be interested in, but the possible animal testing makes them a no-go for me:

  9. Thanks for the review! I'm a guy with terrible skin and i'm too afraid to go into a make up store because of gender norms. But i hate having bad skin! I'm going to try buying a small size of this online and see how it goes.
