Provided for Review: Swanicoco Pore Care Range

Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Swanicoco Pore Care Range! These products were kindly sent for review by Swanicoco. I have previously talked about skincare by Swanicoco and I really enjoyed using their products, so I was excited to try out some more!

Pore Care Tightening Serum
"Delivers moisture, cleans impurities in pores to maintain clean skin.

After your skin care, pour moderate amount on trouble areas with pores and pat with hands for absorption. "(1)
This serum has a thin gel like texture and a heavy cologne scent, it smells very manly! I found that this serum was easy to apply, it spreads out quickly and absorbs pretty quickly too. Like most Swanicoco products, I did need to use two pumps for my entire face.
In all honesty, I didn't see very much difference to my pore size or quality. I found that the serum was moisturising and made my skin feel soft, but for pore control it didn't make too much of a difference. The serum is supposed to be used on skin with troubled pores, but I just used it over my entire face instead.
Fermentation Extract Moist Soothing Gel
Protects and soothes your skin from environmental damage, and offers deep hydration.

After using essence or serum, dispense appropriate amount to apply over your face."(1)
This gel is quite thick in texture, but spreads out easily. It is heavily scented, though I'm not quite sure what the scent is! It's quite fresh and fruity.
I find that this gel absorbs fairly quickly and hydrates my skin beautifully while still keeping it looking matte which is great for the humid weather right now. I find this gel quite soothing and cooling, so I use it on my limbs too!
Pore Care Tightening Glacier Cream
Controls sebum and delivers moisture to skin.

Take appropriate amount and gently apply from inside to outside along the skin texture."(1)
This cream comes packaged in a silver tub which is very sturdy. The cream itself is slightly yellow in colour and looks a little bit like custard in the tub. However, it has a deceptively thin texture and is a little hard to pick up from the tub. It has a light citrusy scent.
I really enjoy using this cream because it dries down super quickly, and very matte for me. This is a great quality for me during the summer, because my skin does get oilier during warm weather, and this helps control the oil to an extent. I can use it day and night too which is great! I really do enjoy using this cream which I am very pleased about since the last Swanicoco cream didn't end so happily for me.
Pha 10% Coco Soft Peeling Cream
Soothes, refreshes, and protects your skin from external irritants, melts sebum.

How to use:
1. Apply moderate amount on skin and no need to wash.
2. Apply moisture cream."(1)
The PHA, or PolyHydroxy Acid Cream comes in very elegant packging and is actually pretty big in size too. It's packaging is bigger than the Glacier cream, but both contain 50ml of product. The cream has a standard cream texture and very little scent. It doesn't spread out on my skin very easily, I do have to help it along quite a lot because it doesn't have very much slip, but I get there in the end.
I use this cream at night 2x a week and my skin has been looking substantially better. I took Fiftyshadesofsnail's recommendation to massage the cream into the skin which helps a lot, if I pat the cream on I end up with a very shiny and sticky face, whereas the massaging helps the cream sink into my skin much more, and I'm substantially less sticky! Using a PHA is a little bit less intense than using an AHA and again, fiddy has a great PHA VS AHA 101 explanation on her review, so I highly recommend popping over and reading that too. I find that this cream exfoliates my skin gently and helps make it look clearer and cleaner overnight.
What I Love
- Elegant, functional packaging
- The Glacier Cream and PHA Cream work beautifully with my skin
- The Moist Soothing Gel and the Pore Care Serum hydrate nicely
- Moderately expensive price range at between $40-50NZD each

What I Don't Love
- The serum scent is too strong
- Moderately expensive price range at between $40-50NZD each

Final Thoughts
The reason I mentioned the price both as a positive and negative aspect is that for me both of the creams are worth their price point, whereas the Gel and Serum were a little too expensive for what they were. Of course these products were provided for review, but I always think about products as if I had bought them with my own money, and I would be a little disappointed in the Gel and Serum for that amount of money. As it is with all reviews, this is what works best for my skin, and everyone is different so please don't take my opinion as the one and only, if you're thinking about purchasing this skincare I recommend reading other reviews too before deciding to purchase anything.

Out of the range I was sent this time, I think the Glacier Cream is an amazing day cream for any Princesses that struggle to find a day cream that dries down matte and helps with oil control, and I think the PHA Cream is a great product for any Princesses starting off their journey with acid exfoliation since it is gentle, yet effective. The Moist Soothing Gel is great if you're looking for a product that cools and soothes the skin while still leaving a matte finish, and the Pore Care Serum provides nice hydration, but does smell heavily of mens cologne.

Thank you so much to Swanicoco for providing these products for review!

  1. Oooh thanks for these reviews! They sound good but to be honest I feel like at that pricepoint, I would want prettier packaging... But that's just me being nitpicky!
