Manicure Monday: Glassons Glitter

Hello Princesses!

This Monday I decided to try out some of the Glassons polishes! Whenever I have to cut my nails short I tend to glitter them up, so whenever I look at my little nubbins, the glitter makes me smile!
These Glassons polishes are nameless, but I found that the soft pink was fairly good quality, while the gold glitter took literally 20 coats to get that opaque glitter look. I mean 20 solid sponge coats, where the clear polish soaks into the sponge and you are left only left with the glitter. Ain't nobody got time fo dat! It also left my cuticles looking a little gross, which I couldn't see in person, but the macro camera likes to make the smallest flaws look disgusting. I'm leaving the polish open overnight in the hopes that the formula will thicken up and provide better glitter coverage *fingers crossed!*

Review: ASOS

Hello Princesses!

Today I'll be talking about my shopping experience with ASOS!

I've never really shopped on ASOS before and I never knew they sold beauty products until the facebook MUO's started raving about the Rimmel London sale. So obviously I headed along to the Beauty Section of ASOS to have a wee look!  (I'm totally addicted, I know)

I've only bought one Rimmel Lipstick before (and hated it) but I vaguely remembered the absolutely gorgeous Arna Morton from Arna Alayne mentioning that the Match Perfection Foundation was a good alternative for the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10. The girls were also raving about the Stay Matte Pressed Powder, and since I had just finished my well loved MAC Transparent Finishing Powder I decided to make a small order.

I'm only going to review my experience with the store today, and save the products for another day! ^^

The shipping was very fast, (about 7 days I believe!) but packaging was terrible. The box had a semi puffed bag sitting on top of the items which were not bubble wrapped. In fact, the only plastic wrapped item was the Stay Matte Foundation. I'm absolutely astounded that ASOS would think this packaging is appropriate for cosmetics like these. The Match Perfection Foundation is a GLASS bottle, and sure enough a couple of days after my order had arrived, pictures appeared on facebook of packaging  exactly like mine where the glass of the foundation had broken. I don't want to order nail polish from there, that's for sure.

 Match Perfection Foundation SPF 18 (010 - Light Porcelain) - $9.60
"This Match Perfection foundation has been made by Rimmel London. The details include: a creamy smart-tone formula, enriched with an SPF 15 sunscreen and blue sapphire pigments to reflect your natural skin tone and texture, and provide a flawless finish."
"Match Perfection loose powder by Rimmel London
- Lightweight loose powder
- Silky formula designed to match most skin tones
- Apply over foundation for a smooth finish"

 Stay Matte Foundation (100 - Ivory) - $8.53
"Stay matte foundation by Rimmel London. Featuring a full cover formula with a natural shine control complex, it leaves skin with a matte finish for up to 12 hours, while concealing imperfections, for a flawless finish."

Stay Matte Pressed Powder (Transparent) - $5.33
"Stay matte pressed powder by Rimmel London. Featuring a lightweight formula, the powder minimises the appearance of pores for a natural matte finish that controls shine for up to 12 hours."

Match Perfection Foundation BB Cream SPF 25 (Light) - $9.60
"This 9-in-1 Skin Perfecting Super Make Up BB Cream is made by Rimmel London. The details include: a lightweight formula designed to prime, mattify and moisturise, minimise the appearance of pores, conceal blemishes and protect the skin with SPF 25."

All of my items arrived in perfect order, (although a little scared from no protective packaging!)

What I love
Good quality products
Fantastic range of products
Free Shipping
Easy to use website
Frequent Sales
Stocks some harder to find brands like Benefit, Clairsonic, Illamasqua, NARS, Stila, Too Faced, etc

What I don't love
Unsafe Packaging
Doesn't stock all the colours (NARS, Illamasqua)

Final Thoughts?
I have a bit of an issue with the way they package their items. Considering one of my foundations is in a glass jar, the package didn't have nearly enough protection. I've seen photo's of a other girls who have had their foundations broken open (usually having two or more glass bottles) and I was lucky that I had only ordered the one glass jar! Other than that issue, I found that ASOS was a great place to shop for cosmetics (I may try clothes next!) and I would definitely shop there during their next sale!

Did you see anything you'd like me to review straight away? Let me know in the comments below and I'll make sure I review it as soon as possible! ^^

Manicure Monday: Fingernails of Fire and Tragedy

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be showing you my last set of Almond nail manicures!
I created this mani by using OPI's liquid sands Honey Ryder and Jinx in a cute little gradient. I see them as fire nails, (in all honesty I just thought the polishes would look cute together) but my boyfriend thinks they look more like pretty golden claws that have been scratching eyes out. Creepy. Good for Halloween I guess!

The next day while I was teaching, I was accompanying one of my students on the piano. My ring-fingernail slipped between the keys and tore. Not painful, but SO disappointing! I can't have mani's with 4 lovely long nails and one short stubbly nail!
So that's the end of long almond nails for now, we're back to short square manicure's for a while!

Review: Beauty Bliss

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be sharing one of my latest (ish) haul's, and new favorite store - Beauty Bliss!

While looking online for the cheapest Lime Crime products, I stumbled across the New Zealand based store, Beauty Bliss. At the time they were offering 20% off all Lime Crime products, so I thought, that sounds too good to be true! It was the cheapest Lime Crime I'd seen. I browsed through their website, and to my pleasure I discovered that not only did they stock Lime Crime, they also stocked a lot of beauty products that I didn't know were available in New Zealand! Then I accidentally made a rather expensive order >< ...

There was an incredible 3 day wait in-between ordering online and receiving the package! (I ordered on a Sunday so that doesn't really count as a day either!) This is quite possibly the fasted shipping I've ever had.
The packaging was fantastic. I can't remember if the package was tracked, but the courier post tracked baggage implies that is was. Everything apart from the Beauty Blender was wrapped in cute tissue paper, which was wrapped in bubble wrap. Super safe, no breaks or dents in any of the products.
(I couldn't wait to unwrap it in a lady-like fashion)
They also gave me a 10% code for the next time I shop there! ^^
So what did I buy? Actually I bought a fair bit for me. *Blushes* I don't have that much money, but I do consider a couple of these products as "investment items" rather than cheap items that I would have a 50/50 chance of loving or hating.

 Duo Eyelash Adhesive - $12.00
I decided to pick up some DUO eyelash glue. I've heard that it's one of the best glue's around, so I thought I would test it out! It's pretty cheap at $12.
BeautyBlender - Single  - $34.00
I've heard SO many people rave about beauty blenders, I just had to try one! (Just quietly, I am totally in love with this too!)
Lime Crime Nail Polish - Milky Ways - $19
I really needed a pale yellow colour, and Milky Ways fits the bill! I used it in this weeks Monday Manicure. This polish was $15.20 after the 20% discount.
Lime Crime Velvetines - Red Velvet - $30.00
I'm always on the hunt for Liquid Lipsticks and pigmented Lip stains. Lime Crime only makes two colours, (They're releasing a bright pink soon!) and Suedeberry was sold out, so Red Velvet it was! This Velvetine was $26 after discount.
Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick - Great Pink Planet - $29.00
Great Pink Planet was not my first pick. Not even my second or third pick. I'll reserve judgement for review time though! This lipstick was $23.20 after discount.
  Lime Crime Fantasy Palettes - D'antoinette - $55.00
This was the product I was originally after. As soon as I saw the cute pastel shadow I knew I had to have them! This Palette was $44 after discount.

What I love
Good quality products
Safe Shipping
Free shipping for over $50 orders
Fantastic range of products
Easy to use website
Very friendly response to questions
Discount coupons!
Cheap shipping to Aus
Stocks some harder to find brands like Lime Crime, Urban Decay, Sigma etc

What I don't love
Everything is not always in stock (Pretty normal for any store though!)
International shipping on request

Final Thoughts?
I had a bit of trouble finding negative aspects of this store, so I was a little picky. But, I'm absolutely loving this store! It's easy to access, has a super friendly manager, competitive prices and a whole bunch of products I never thought I'd be able to get in New Zealand (as opposed to shipping in from the USA). To put the cherry on top of this sweet sweet cake of money draining goodness, Toni has offered Little Porcelain Princess readers a 15% off coupon code valid until the 31st of October! How AWESOME is that?

If you would like to shop for yourselves, simply click this link (HERE), load up your shopping cart with some amazing goodies, and enter the code: LPP15 at the checkout to redeem the voucher! Easy right?

I hope this store review was useful for you guys! Let me know if you are desperate to hear about any of these products, and let me know if you've ordered before or are planning to in the near future!
