Nail Blogger Meet Up!

Hello Princesses!

Last (last) week I met up with some of the Hamilton Polish Addicts, (Grace, from Polish Armoire and Nicola, from Leona Carolina) and one of the Wellington Polish Addicts (Lani, from Lani Loves) for some dinner, shopping and polish swapping!

Meetup's for polish addicts generally involve swapping polish, Lani bought up a decent stash for Grace, who swapped it for a package that needed to go down to Wellington. There was also a bunch of StarKin swatch sticks for me to look through and dribble over.
We watched Cars 2, (which was supposed to be on for Lani's little boy, Noel, but I got way too interested in it) ate Hell's Pizza, chicken tenders and all of that deliciously bad food!
We admired Nicola's sizable stash (so much polish envy!) and discussed all things Polish and Beauty!
Of course my posts would not be complete without a gratuitous selfie.
The next day we met up for a little bit of shopping (or a lot for me because I have no self control) out at The Base! I was pretty gutted because I was supposed to be working untill 11.30, and with an hour drive from Matamata to the other side of Hamilton I thought I would miss out on the shopping :/ Turns out my students were 99% lazier than I had expected and only 3 out of 15 kids turned up. So I got to leave early and head out for some much needed retail therapy! ^^
I Snapped this adorable photo of Noel while we were playing with the buzzer for my meal.
This is the only photo I have of our shopping trip! Weird photo's of people eating are not too nice, and I got incredibly distracted buying ALL OF THE THINGS.
At the end of the day I had bought;
Trilogy Rosehip Oil mini set (Which I am IN LOVE with)
Biore Pore strips
Hask Argan Hair Oil
OPI Just spotted the Lizzard
Essie Pretty Edgy
Kleancolor Velvet Moisturizing Liquid Foundation
L.A. Girl Perfecting Liquid Makeup
Two Mikki Lipsticks
Mikki Intense Colour Liquid Eyeliner

The only product I didn't like out of my haul was the L.A. Girl foundation, but I think I'm going to have to do a separate post about a whole bunch of Fail Foundations that I've tried!

I had such a great time hanging out with the girls and Noel! It's nice to not be the only one in the shopping group obsessing over polish and cosmetics! ><

Manicure Monday: Pastel Heart Tips

Hello Princesses!

This Monday I decided to try the super cute heart tip manicure!

This is a really easy manicure, but does require a little bit of practice! I always start from my pinkies, so you can see the hearts getting a nicer shape the more fingers I paint! ^^ The trick is to angle the polish brush diagonally from the top of the heart, to the middle of your nail tip to get a nice rounded top.
Polishes from Pinkie to Forefinger:
Revlon - Gumdrop
Kleancolor - Pastel Teal
OPI - Second Honeymoon
Lime Crime - Milky Ways

I think they look so cute! I really want to try them in red next time (a little cliché, I know!)

Review: DollyDynamite

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the super cute online store: DollyDynamite!

I've been a follower of Cyril (DollDelight) for quite some time now, her outfits always amaze me and make me super jealous >< She's like the cutest little doll! I've always wanted to buy clothes from her online store, and finally I was able to splurge a little and buy myself the adorable Bunny Hoodie Dress!

The Dress cost $35USD with $5 flat rate shipping, which is a decent price. I ordered the Hoodie Dress on the 14th of August and it arrived on the 13th of September. DollyDynamite's FAQ states that: "packages take 5 - 10 business days for the processing of your order. Once the order has been forwarded to the supplier, we would be e-mailing you the tracking information. In some cases, a tracking number might not be available for countries other than the US. However, all US orders come with a tracking number." My package came tracked.
My package took about 13 business days to be shipped. This is slightly longer than stated on the FAQ, but since I do follow Cyril's blog/fb/insta I knew she was away at a fashion show at the time, so I just chose to forget about the package for a little while! The FAQ states that your package should arrive within 18-31 business days, which it did, but I was not contacted about why my packages  shipping was delayed. I think that if it had shipped out faster then the whole waiting process would have decreased dramatically.

The package itself was well wrapped and safely waterproof. Initially I had thought (I don't know how) that this item was more like a dress than a hoodie. Upon arrival, I noticed that the package was substantially bigger than I had expected. When I opened it I was quite disappointed because I thought that the thick fleecy hoodie was going to make me looks like a chubby oompa loompa.

I've never been happier to be wrong.

The dress is thick and fleecy, but more like a coat than a dress! The measurements are even with the measurements given on the store, and the ears have wire shaping, so you can bend and shape them and they'll stick up on your head!
I have a whole bunch of photo's of the coat because it's SO CUTE!

The dress is pretty well made, I only have a few complaints about the uneven stitching. As you can see from the photo's, the stitching is sometimes a little uneven. It's nothing major, only a couple of centimeters different. I know Cyril makes a lot of her items herself, but I believe this item is bought as is.
 What I Love
- Super cute Apparel
- Decent Prices
- $5 flat rate shipping (Cheap!)
- Free shipping section
- Good quality clothing
- It's SO CUTE
- Personalized message on order

What I Don't Love
- Slower shipping (although very cheap)
- Some faults in stitching (very minor)
- Not enough communication about shipping
If you guys can't tell, I'm completely in love with this Hoodie Dress! I'm super excited to buy more products from DollyDynamite (I have my eyes set on Scallop Skort and the Open Toe Bow Heels!) and I would definitely recommend the store to anyone looking for super cute apparel!

September Favorites!

Hello Princesses!

Since October is now here, and I've got so much spare time now that school is on break, I thought I'd share my favorite products from September!
Missha Liquidly Facial Cleanser - Milk to Peeling
This is an incredibly moisturizing peel. It's pretty cheap, and lasts a long time! I use it once a week, and it leaves my skin feeling very clean and moisturized.

Ma Cherie - Air Feel Treatment
This hair mask smells amazing and does wonders with my dry scraggly tips. It's a little expensive and elusive (needs to be shipped in from overseas), but when I run out I'll definitely be investing in more!

Sheseido Pureness - Pore Purifying Warming Scrub
I was given this as a sample with another purchase and can safely say that I will be purchasing the full size! It works really well and makes my skin feel incredibly clean without being drying.

Sheseido The Skincare - Purifying Mask
I received this as a sample at the same time as the Pore Purifying Warming Scrub. I have never used a face mask this good before! It makes me skin feel amazing, and I definitely buying the full size!

Maybeline - Fit Me Foundation (110)
I really love this Foundation. It's the only drugstore product I've come across that's almost light enough for my skin! It feels super soft, with medium coverage and great oil control. If only it went one shade lighter it'd be be perfect!

CND Vinylux - Romantique
Vinylux is one of my new favorite polishes! It lasts around a week long and comes in a great range of colours! I don't think they're available instore yet, but are still cheaper to ship than OPI is to buy instore.

Beauty Blender
Expensive, but totally worth it! My makeup has never been so easy, or looked so perfectly blended before!

Eye of Horus Mascara
I won this in Nailgirl's giveaway and I love it! It really elongates my lashes without that gross clumpy look! ><

Mikki Intense Colour Liquid Eyeliner - Black
For $3, this is one of the best Liquid Eyeliners I've ever seen! It's pigmented, easy to use, easy to store and lasts a decent amount of time. I'll be buying another one to stash in my emergency makeup kit ;)

Tony Moly - Petite bunny Gloss Bar (No.3 Juicy Apple)
This is so handy and so cute! It's pretty much like a tinted lipbalm for me, but that's the charm in it! It's moisturizing with translucent colour.

Lime Crime Velvetines - Red Velvet
This liquid lipstick is the most pigmented thing I own. I can play flute while wearing it, and it can create super cute gradient lips too!

The Balm - Nude'tude Palette
I'm loving this palette at the moment! I featured it in my Pink and Gold Ball Makeup and I've been using it in my every day makeup. It's so versatile!

That's it for this month! I'll be reviewing to majority of these products shortly, is there anything you're dying to hear about? ^^
