Manicure Monday: Candy Skittle

Hello Princesses!

Today's Manicure is a candy coloured skittle manicure using the Born Pretty Store Round & Square Fluorescent Studs! I used the square studs on the first Manicure Monday featuring all of the BPS items. The round studs actually remind me of skittles and it's making me super hungry just looking at them! ><

I used the polishes (top to bottom), Color Club Factory Girl, Blushing Rose and Blu-ming, Etude House Ice Cream Nails Collection Purple. The purple looks a little dull in comparison to the other polishes, but I didn't really have any other purples that were closer!  This is honestly why I end up buying so many polishes, but It's so annoying when you have over 250 polishes but can't find the right shade of purple!! -.-'

I really liked using these studs from Born Pretty Store! Both round and square studs were easy to apply, lasted well, were easy to remove, and come in super cute colours - pastel or neon, gold or silver etc. I totally recommend them if you're wanting to buy a variety or studs! ^.^

Manicure Monday: Spikeasaurus

 Hello Princesses!

Today I have a more adventurous manicure than usual! I really wanted to use the nail spikes I bought from Born Pretty with a slightly darker manicure (unlike my first cutesy spiked manicure) but since this is definitely not my usual style, I think the manicure looks a little boring in the photos!

I used Color Club's First Looks for the manicure base.

This time I also used nail glue on the spikes to help them stay on! They stayed on a little longer than with just plain topcoat, but still popped off when they got caught in my hair! >< 

Has anyone got any tips on how to get them to stick better? What did you think of this weeks manicure? ^.^

Manicure Monday: Candy Cane

Hello Princesses!

Today is not Monday, but Tuesday! So Manicure Monday is totally inaccurate for today, but I didn't have time to do this last night, so please forgive me! ^^ I had to cut my nails down to nubbins again, so I chose to cover them all in glitter!!

For this Mani I used Color Club's Candy Cane. It's so sparkly and cute, every time I see my nails it makes me happy even though they are super short! ♥

Manicure Monday: Peek-a-boo Bling

Hello Princesses!

 This Monday I tried TWO things I've never tried before, Water Decals and Peek-a-boo Bling!

I found the idea for this manicure through Grace from Polish Armoire when she linked this gorgeous mani from Lucysstash. There are a couple of things I'd do differently next time, including the atrocious blinged index finger. It just did NOT turn out the way I wanted it to!

Unfortunately since my nails are Squoval, it means that the bling wasn't very even underneath my nail tips, but I think it still looks super cute! To start with the little gems felt very irritating, but after a while I got used to it!

The water decals also proved a little challenging, and semi-disintegrated. I'm not sure how it happened (twice) but I'll try a different method next time! They looked so cute and a little fancy! ^^ 

I'm sorry about the erratic blogging and lack of social media updates, the bf has gone back to Taipei and I'm still adjusting to the crippling boredom and loneliness!

Manicure Monday: Raspberry Rush

Hello Princesses!

This week I'm wearing Color Club's Raspberry Rush with a couple of gemstones at the base of my nails! Raspberry Rush is a gorgeous neon pink/magenta polish which makes me feel super happy and summery! ^^

I think the gemstones make the manicure seem a little more grown-up! ^^ Rather than just having neon pink nails!

I'll be back tomorrow with a review of The Body Shop's Tea Tree skincare range!
