Manicure Monday - Wrapping Up Presents

Hello Princesses!

Today I have the last Christmas themed manicure to show you, wrapped up present nails! Admittedly this design looks a little nicer on square nails when it actually looks like a wrapped box, but I like this look just as much! ^.^
I used China Glazes Poinsettia for the red base, and drew on the bows with a white striper. Easy peasy and super cute! I'm off to wrap the rest of my Christmas presents now! ^.^

Manicure Monday: Matte Velvet

Hello Princesses!

Today I have a lovely and slightly classy manicure, featuring my new favorite product, OPI's Matte Top Coat. I've never had the urge to mattify my manicures until I picked up this top coat to fill the gaping matte polish gap I have in my collection. After my first matte manicure it was hard to stop myself from mattifying everything! Matte glitter? Yes please!!
I used China Glaze's Velvet Bow for the base colour, and topped it off with OPI's Matte Top Coat. I used Born Pretty Store's little gold beads to complete the little half moon feature. It was quite difficult to get the beads on because the matte top coat dries fast. For a couple of fingers I stuck the beads down using a regular top coat and matte coated over the top. Can you tell which technique is on which nail?

What do you Princesses think of Matte manicures?

Manicure Monday: Bows and Bling

Hello Princesses!

Today I have a really interesting manicure! When I envisioned this manicure I thought it would look super cool with a full dimante nail and a cute little bow. I painted my nails at night and thought, these look awesome! I went out to classes the next day, looked down at my hands and though ... oh, actually they look a little hookerish.

...

I used China Glaze's Poinsettia for the red polish. It's a little brighter during the day than what I thought it looked like at night. Fun fact, I almost always paint my nails at night since I work/study during the day!  This means that my Vinylux top coat is an absolute must-have, since it stops my bed from imprinting my nails with that horrible sheet print!

I'm not sure how I feel about this manicure. During the day it was almost offensively red and I found myself subconsciously trying to hide my hands. >< Oops!

What do you Princesses think of this manicure?

Manicure Monday: Velvet Bow

Hello Princesses!

Yesterday's Daylight savings did it's business and left me waking up an hour earlier than usual. *cries* Just when I was getting comfortable waking up at 6am, now it feels like 5am! ><

The weather has been pretty up and down lately, today it has been raining heavily on and off throughout the entire day. Luckily I got to stay inside, paint my nails and photograph a couple of new blog posts ;)

This Monday I'm wearing China Glaze's Velvet Bow with a rhinestone heart shape on my ring fingernail. It looks a lot more like a heart if you looks closer. Trust me. Also I forgot to topcoat the polish for the photo's *duhh*
