Tutorial: Pink and Gold Ball makeup

Hello Princesses!

Ball season in New Zealand is finishing up, so I thought I would show you guys this easy, soft, neutral eye make up using the The Balm's Nune'tude palette! ^^ I did this make up for my younger sisters first year University Halls Ball.
This is the biggest and most expensive pallete I own, (I rarely use eye shadow that's not matte brown) but I was really pleased with all of the colours in this palette! I'll do some swatches and a review later on ;)

I used all of the eye shadow's in this look from this palette because it was so much easier to hold one pallete that met all my needs. But you certainly don't have to use this palette or even these colours!

Pink and Gold Ball makeup
1 After priming your eyes, apply a gold shimmer (Snobby) to the inner third of your eye lid and tear ducts.

2 Apply a medium pink shimmer (Stubborn) to the center of your eyelid.

3 Use a matte medium brown (Sultry) to outline your crease and outer V. Blend out the harsh edges.

4 Use a Matte dark brown (Sleek) to define the outer V.

5 Line your lash line with a black liquid liner, and wing it out slightly.

6 Apply the same dark brown (Sleek) to the outer corner of your lower lashline and connect it to the wing of your eyeliner. Apply Mascara and False lashes if desired.

That's it guys! Cute right! ^^

Emily has such different shaped eyes than me, but I like doing eye makeup on her a lot more than on myself!

FYI, this is me and my baby sister together, we are fully related but don't look anything alike! We have an older brother who looks like me, (Pale and dark hair) and a younger brother who looks like her (Olive skin and light hair) while my Dad is pale and my mama has olive skin.
Let me know what you guys thought of this tutorial, (sorry about the blurry photo's, I'm still learning! ^^) Tomorrow I'll be reviewing a new(ish) mobile app called Imotiv!

Manicure Monday: Pastel Gradient

Hello Princesses!

This week I'm rocking a super cute pastel gradient mani! ^^ This is the first gradient I've featured on here because it's one of the first gradients that has even been successful!
For this mani I used Revlon's scented polishes Gum Drop, (Purple) and Cotton Candy (Pink). I found that these two polishes were incredibly sheer which made it quite difficult to create a proper gradient, which is a shame because the colours are so gorgeous! It ended up looking pretty cute, but it took a while to get enough colour! :3

Review: Western BB Cream Comparison

 Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be doing some comparisons between the Western BB Creams that I have tried out! ^^

The first swatches we are going to have a look at are the comparisons between Garniers miracle skin perfector, Revlon photoready BB cream and Maybellines dream fresh BB cream, purely because by the time I bought the Maybellines dream pure BB cream I'd already sold the Garnier BB Cream!
Check out the difference of consistency and coverage in these swatches!
From left to right we have the Garnier - Revlon - Maybelline swatches from straight out of the bottle to fully oxidized. They all look pretty orange when they are in liquid form, but the Maybelline is the closest match to my skin tone out of the three!

Garniers miracle skin perfector
These photos were taken back in January when I was as tan as I was going to get. (Didn't realize how chubby my face has gotten! ><) Even in these photos you can see the lack of coverage and slightly orange tone I got from the BB Cream. It was never going to fit me right because I don't want to get tanner, so I sold it on. Disappointing.

Revlon photoready BB cream
While the Revlon looks good from afar/after editing, it's still too dark for my pale skin. I really hated the consistency of this BB Cream, and the lack of coverage plus the price tag made me want to chuck this one out ASAP!

Maybellines dream fresh BB cream
I was totally on the edge of keeping/selling this BB Cream until I purchased the Dream Pure BB Cream! For me, the Dream Fresh is too sheer and dewy, so if you're trying to decide between the Dream Fresh and the Dream Pure, think about whether you are wanting Matte skin and semi full coverage, or sheer coverage and dewy skin. ;)

The consistency between these BB Creams is quite similar. The Dream Fresh is thinner and easier to spread than the Dream Pure, but the Dream Pure has more coverage and is paler in colour than the Dream Fresh!
Maybellines dream pure BB cream
The Dream Pure BB Cream is my favorite out of all of the western BB creams I've tried so far! I adore the consistency and it provides enough day time coverage for me. It's only a little too dark, but I'm confident that during the summer tanning weather it'll be just fine!

That does it for my Western BB Creams review/comparison! Let me know in the comment section if you have any questions about these products and I'll try my best to answer them! ^^

Manicure Monday: Vintage Floral Nails

Hello Princesses!

This Monday I attempted some more nail art. ^^ As you guys know, I'm not great at free-handing nail art, but the more practice you get the better you will be right!

This time I tried something a little more simplistic than the bunnies from last week. Rose designs and polka dots!
I actually adore the way this came out, although I think the roses could've been done better. They look fine in real life, but Jack couldn't figure out what they were D: He thought they were little sheep ... =.='
I used my new PiCture POlish polishes to create this mani! I chose these colours purely because they are my newest purchases and I wanted to make something beautiful with them! ^^
