Manicure Monday: Dior Audacieuse

Hello Princesses!

After last weeks Chanel manicure, I decided to use up the other designer metal plaes that were gifted to my by Fullmoon when I ordered from her over one year ago! These little plates are seriously so tiny that I lost them! >< Today I wanted to use the little Dior plate and was inspired by these gorgeous Dior sunglasses.
I don't usually do "inspired by" or imitation nail art because I'm really really bad at it, but I think I did ok today! Also, these sunglasses do not belong to me, (I wish I had $700NZD to spend on them though because they are stunning!).
I actually quite like this manicure! It turned out a lot more accurate than I thought it would (apart from the pink being the wrong shade) and looked really nice on "un posed" nails, (because obviously I don't walk around with my nails in this position). I found that the Dior plate was easier to keep on my nail than the Chanel plate which kept lifting at the corners and catching in my hair.

If you guys want to grab some of these cute metal plates for yourself, go and check out Yuki's store - Fullmoon! ^.^

Blogging 101: Make Your Own Blogger Blog

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be showing you how to create your own blog on Blogger, and a quick tour around Blogger!

To create your own blogger blog, you will need a google account. If you want to be serious about your blog, it's best to create a blog email address, and then create your blogs google account through that email address. I really wish I did that, because my blog is linked to my university email address and I can't change it. -.-

The next step is to go the the blogger home page - www.blogger.com/start and log in with the google account you want to use. Mine obviously will look a little different because I have an existing blog and a lot of people that I follow, but you should still have a button that says "New Blog".

Clicking "New Blog" brings up this little box. Fill out your blog title details and pick a theme. You will be changing your blog theme later on, so the first "Simple" theme is fine for now!

Click "Create Blog" and your blog has been created! It looks super simple, but I'll show you how to make it pretty next week! ^.^
Back at your blogger home page - www.blogger.com/home - You'll be able to see a whole bunch of options have popped up! If you have more than one blog, they'll just stack on top of each other, which is really handy! Underneath your blog title, you'll see how many page views your blog has had, how many posts you've written and how many followers you have. You also have three buttons - the first orange button lets you create posts, the second white button takes you to your options and the third white button will take you to your blog!
If you click onto your overview tab, it will shows you your top traffic sources, any news from blogger, comments, page views, posts and followers as well as some recommended reading. The next tab down is Labeled posts, and contains any published, scheduled or drafted posts.

I haven't included any info on the Pages, Comments, Google + or Earnings because they're either self explanatory (Comments) or going to be explained in a later post!
The next important tab is the Stats tab. This is divided up into four sections, showing you the how many people viewed your posts and where they came from. It's totally fun (and somewhat stalky) to check out who is viewing your post, where they are in the world, what sort of computer they're using and on what browser.
The next two pages are showing you the layout format and template. Here you can customize where everything is on your blog and what it looks like. It's slightly complicated, so I'll show you in a separate post.
The last tab shows all of your settings. You can change who edits your blog, where your comments go, who can comment on your blog and customizable post templates.
The last place I'm going to show you is the "Create a post" section! It's really easy to navigate, but make sure you don't get stuck in the HTML tab because if you've never used HTML coding it'll probably look super strange and scary.

Left to right on the top we have - Compose (your plain writing tab) HTML (your HTML coding tab) Undo and redo buttons, Fonts, Font Size, Format (heading, sub heading etc), Bold, Italic, Underlined, Strikethrough, Text Colour, Text Background Colour, Add or Remove a Link, Insert Picture, Insert Video, Insert Jump Break, Alignment, Numbered List, Bullet List, Quote, Remove Formatting, Spell Check.
The right side links include Labes (sorts your posts into categories), Schedule (auto schedule posts automatically, or you can chose to post later), Permalink (creates your hyperlink for the post), Location, Options. My main blog also has Search Description in between the Location and Options so I'm not sure where this one is!

Now we've come to the end of the Blogger tour! I hope this was helpful for anyone wanting to create their blog on blogger, or just wanting to see what blogger looks like! Next week I'll show you how to do some simple coding so you can make your blog look super pretty! ^.^

Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions about blogging and I'll try my best to answer them!

First Impressions: It's Skin Star Cream

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about a really neat product - the It's Skin Star Cream! I found a tester sachet of this product floating around in my drawer and had absolutely no idea what it was, so I decided to try it out! ^.^

What Does It Do?
"Ingredients:
Starfish Collagen extract, cattail pollen powder extract, water velvet extract, adenosine, niacin amide

Product Description:
- Absorbs to skin instantly to enhance moisture retaining powder of skin and create resilient and young skin
- Delivers intensive vitamin, mineral and various nutritional ingredients to create healthy skin
- Shiny pearl powder and sebum control powder creates vitality
- Covers skin tone naturally to create originally gorgeous skin
- Smooth texture absorbs without greasy
- SPF25 SP+++

How to use:
After your skincare, apply moderate amount according to skin texture from inside to outside of skin." (1)
Ok, first off - Starfish collagen extract and water velvet extract? What the actual WHAT? This is probably one of the WEIRDEST things I've put on my face ever, but it's actually quite cool! I use this as a makeup base to pale out my skin and prep it for foundation or BB Cream.

This cream has teeny sparkles that brighten and illuminate the skin, and even though the cream looks like a translucent pinky-white colour - it's not really translucent at all which is why half of my face looks a little paler than the other half. It's easy to apply and helped my foundation stay on longer and look brighter and dewier. I love it!!
Would I Purchase This Product?
Yes! I really like this product, but I am a little wary of the ingredient list on some other girls blogs, because it does seem to contain a form of Stearate that I *think* I'm allergic to. If I do purchase it and have the allergic reaction on my chin area, then I would just use the cream on the rest of my face without applying it on my chin to avoid the irritation, I love this product that much! ^.^

What do you princesses think about this Starfish cream?

Review: Maybelline HyperCurl Volume Express Mascara

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about my second favorite mascara ever (after the Eye of Horus Mascara!) - Maybellines Hyper Curl Volume Express Mascara - Hello Kitty Edition!

I bought this mascara when I was in Taipei at the start of 2013 and didn't open it till August last year so I could use up all of my other mascaras. I hate having more than two mascaras open at the same time because they tend to dry up too fast which makes me sad, but I couldn't resist opening this up when I found it again, the Hello Kitty print is just too gorgeous!
This formula is waterproof (a must have for my oily lids!) and focuses on curling the lashes. The wand is slightly curved which is super hard to photograph apparently, but does a fantastic job of curling my lashes!

I don't find this mascara particularly lengthening or volumizing, but it does give my lashes a feathery curly look that stays all day and doesn't smudge, clump or flake.
This mascara looks really natural, like my eyelashes but more defined. It definitely doesn't give you the false lash look that most people would be after.

What I Love
- Waterproof and Smudgeproof
- Easy to apply
- Gives a feathery curly natural lash look
- Doesn't flake or clump

What I Don't Love
- Not lengthening or volumizing
- Doesn't give you a false lash look
Final Thoughts
I really really love this mascara and was really upset when it was finished! It gave me a really lovely feathery, curly, natural lash look that didn't look fake or clumpy. I can see how this may be a negative aspect for a lot of people, but for me it is a positive since I do a lot of natural makeup! If I can repurchase the regular version in New Zealand drug stores I would be so happy!

What do you princesses make of this mascara? Do you prefer natural looking lashes or false looking lashes?
