Hello Princesses!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner! I picked up this toner recently because I had tried a couple of samples sachets and it seemed to hydrate my skin really nicely which is really what I want in a toner!

First Impression: Skinfood Platinum Grape Cell Skincare

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about a couple of products from Skinfood's Platinum Grape Cell line! I had two of each samples, which equals about 3 days worth of usage. I received these samples when I shopped at an actual store in Taipei in February! ^.^

What Does It Do?
Platinum Grape Cell Toner
"A premium toner containing visible platinum particles and grape cells that provide intensive firming treatment for aging skin.

[Grape Cell Story] Extracted from the Gamay grapes, our grape cells help regenerate skin cells, firming skin from the inside out.
[Platinum Story] Platinum is one of the purest and rarest metals in the world. With excellent antioxidant effects, Platinum is used for Food, Medical, Cosmetics and etc.

After cleansing, dispense an ample amount into the palm and smooth on the face in gentle rolling motions." (1)

This toner has teeny specks of "platinum" in it (not sure if it's actually platinum) and is quite hydrating for a toner. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, but it also feels quite clean which is good! I don't think this platinum infused toner is necessary, but it's quite nice anyway!
Platinum Grape Cell Emulsion
"A dual-tasking emulsion that evens out skin tones and firms skin from within with grape cell extract and colloidal platinum for a healthier, firmer appearance.

After toner or serum application, dispense an ample amount into the palm and apply onto the face in gentle upward and outward motions."
(1)
This emulsion is moderately thick and just a little sticky. It absorbs moderately fast for me, but I have read reviews where the bloggers complained that it stayed very sticky and tacky on their skin for a long time. This product makes my skin feel quite nourished, but I'm not sure if I like this in conjunction with the Essence, or the products by themselves.

Platinum Grape Cell Essence
"A premium anti-aging essence containing grape cells and platinum particles that brighten and firm aging skin from the inside out.

After toner application, dispense an ample amount into the palm and apply onto the face in gentle upward and outward motions. Using both palms, pat and press gently onto the face for faster absorption."
(1)
This Essence is quite thick and definitely left a stick/tacky feeling on my skin after it absorbed. Again, I'm not sure if I like this product by itself, or in conjunction with the Emulsion, because both of these products made my skin feel very nourished and hydrated. Since I usually wear a moisturizer over the top of the Essence and Emulsion I don't end up with sticky feeling skin, so it doesn't bother me too much!

Would I Purchase These Products?
I would quite like to try the Emulsion and Essence again, perhaps I will hunt for the 10x sample sachets on Roseroseshop before I purchase them full price (because I have a ridiculous amount of skincare, but no serum/essence products!). I think the toner is a little unnecessary, but I really liked how my skin felt when I used the Essence and Emulsion! I'm not sure how or if the platinum in these products is real platinum or if it actually does anything for my skin (like the Gold Caviar line) but the packaging is cute, it made my skin feel nourished and hydrated without making my face slick with oil in the mornings! ^.^

First Impression: Skinfood Gold Caviar Skincare

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about three products from Skinfood's Gold Caviar Skincare line! I only had one sample of each product, which is not really enough to judge if a product shows good results, but if you would like to hear my thoughts on the products, keep reading! ^.^
What Does It Do?
Gold Caviar Toner
"A gratifying toner formulated with visible pure gold, softens the skin, and with Russian caviar, counters wrinkles and fortifies, nourishes, and firms up the skin.

Apply and smooth evenly on face after cleansing, and gently pat to allow complete skin absorption.

I quite enjoyed using this toner, it felt like it cleaned and toned my skin without making it feel dry and tight. There are tiny gold flakes in the toner and I'm not quite sure if it actually help soften the skin, but they look really pretty!
 Gold Caviar Serum
The anti-aging action of the caviar extract and gold in this comprehensive-care serum helps counter wrinkles and moisten, nourish, firm up, and fortify skin.

Apply evenly on face after toner stage and gently press with palm for a more complete absorption." (1)

This serum feels absolutely gorgeous on the skin, absorbs at a moderate pace. It does leave a slightly tacky feeling after being fully absorbed, but it does feel really nourishing and moisturizing. Obviously I can't tell if it helps counter wrinkles or fortify the skin, but it is a serum that I would like to try again, plus it's filled with gold flakes!

Gold Caviar Cream
"Enriched with Russian caviar extracts and pure gold the complete care cream nourishes, firms up and deeply moisturizes your skin.

After applying the emulsion on your face, dab just the right amount on your then gently apply on the skin in smooth strokes until fully absorbed." (2)
This cream is quite thick, sticky, and leaves my face feeling really tacky after it's absorbed. I didn't see any gold flakes in this cream, and it wasn't really very pleasant to use if I'm quite honest. It left my skin feeling a little greasy in the morning too!

Would I Purchase These Products?
I'm considering purchasing the Gold Caviar Serum, but I think the toner and cream are unnecessary. I don't use toners very often, and I think that I have tried creams that are better than the Gold Caviar Cream, so I don't feel the need to splurge on these items when I don't feel like they are anything special! The serum however piqued my curiosity with all of the gold sparkles! I feel like it nourished and hydrated my skin over the two uses I had, so I would snap it up if I saw it on special (because obviously gold products are expensive).

Review: Olay Essentials Skincare

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about some skincare that I've had for a little while and truly thought nothing of until I tried to clean out my skincare closet (it's pretty full). I trialed this set for a month and rediscovered my love hate relationship with it all over again. I wasn't even initially going to make this post because I thought the products had been discontinued!

I bought this set of four products from an online "deal" website that often brings in products from outside of New Zealand. They were really cheap, I think about $20 for the set (cleansers retail for $20 in NZ) and Olay was a brand that I was very familiar with having had one of their moisturizers since I was 13!

Honestly, I only like two out of the four products, but I really really like them, which is why I'm featuring them here! Lets get the two average products out of the way first.

Gentle Cleanser - Refreshing Face Wash

This cleanser has a pleasant fresh scent and is easy to lather into fluffy bubbles. However it is a really gentle cleanser, so gentle that it doesn't really feel like it's doing anything at all, and my face still feels dirty afterwards. What's the point in using a cleanser that doesn't cleanse?

Refreshing Toner - Normal/Dry/Combo

This toner isn't bad, and for $5 it's actually quite good. However I have been quite spoilt with a Shiseido toner for too long to look back now. It sounds amazingly elitist, but once you try expensive skincare it's quite hard to go back to the cheaper stuff. I can totally appreciate the gems out of the cheap skincare or cheap Korean Skincare (which is a whole different ball game) but this Toner just didn't cut it for me.

Conditioning Milk - Normal/Dry/Combo
This is one of the cheap skincare gems. This conditioning milk is the best friend of the campers or lazy girls that can't be bothered cleaning their skin at night, or don't want to take off their makeup, because it cleanses and moisturizes at the same time, all without the need for water. Simply massage the conditioning milk onto your face and remove with a wet or dry cotton pad. If you're using it as a makeup remover I would recommend using a cleanser afterwards (just to be sure) or do the same step twice to get the best cleanse. It leaves the skin looking clean and plump and you can pop straight off to bed after those simple steps. Awesome.

Eye Makeup Remover - Normal/Dry/Combo

This is another awesome product. The main awesome point is that it takes everything off your eyes (including the Benefit They're Real line) gently, doesn't seep into your eyes like oil based cleansers do or leave your eyes feeling greasy like wax based removers (I'm looking at your Ultrabland!) It's one of my favorite makeup removers, I'm just about of the tube and it's not available in New Zealand. :C

If you can get a hold of this line of skincare I would definitely recommend the Conditioning Milk and Eye Makeup Remover, because they are seriously great products for very little money!

I hope you Princesses enjoyed this super short, to the point review! Are these products available in your home countries?
