First Impression: Lioele Pore Clean & Tightening Dr. Ampoule

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Lioele Pore Clean & Tightening Dr. Ampoule! This Ampoule claims to make your pores pretty much disappear. I'm quite skeptical about this since pores don't open and close, it's pretty difficult to minimize pores!
What Does It Do?
"Lioele Pore Clean & Tightening Dr. Ampoule is a highly concentrated serum made with Lioele's patented formula Phyto-Oligo to drastically decrease the size of pores. The innovative formula is easily absorbed and clinically proven to tighten enlarged pores for a more youthful appearence. Ingredients include Zinc PCA to eliminate excess sebum while effectively shrinking pore size. Lioele Pore Cleaning & Tightening Dr. Ampoule is perfect for oily and acne prone skin due to it's anti-bacterial ingredients like tea tree oil and limonum lemon fruit oil extract.

This is an excellent product to add to your pore treatment routine. There are many products on the market that help extract pores, but they don't decrease the pore size. Enlarge pores can make our skin look tired and rough. By shrinking pores it will help bring back the baby soft look.

Benefits:
    Sebum Control
    Decrease pore size
    Softening
    Smoothing
    Anti-Bacterial

How to use: Apply product after extraction treatment. A toner may be used before applying this product. Allow product to soak into skin before applying other creams or serums."(1)

First Impression: Lioele Secret Rich Pore Balm

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Lioele Secret Rich Pore Balm! This is supposed to be a pore smoothing primer that is very similar to the Benefit Porefessional!
What Does It Do?
"Pressed balm primer with great coverage of enlarged pore, lines, or skin imperfections. Specialized in sebum control. Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm is a smooth photo finish primer. It helps minimize pores and fine lines allowing skin to become soft and smooth for an improved foundation/bb cream application. The balm contains new technology to diffuse light by mattifying the face to reduce shine, so foundation/bb cream application can be easier to apply and last even longer. It is made of various ingredients that can increase skin elasticity for a firmer and more youthful appearance."(1)

Hello Princesses!

Store Review: Cutie and Beautie

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about my shopping experience with Cutie and Beautie which is a New Zealand based KBeauty store! I have been wanting to shop with them forever and sort of just procrastinated buying from them because they don't have the most exciting and up to date collections. Now, they are closing down so I thought I should shop with them just for my own peace of mind! ^ ^

Website Practicality
The website is very aesthetically pleasing, but it has an awful pop up for a 5% discount that pops up on every single page you open which is incredibly annoying. The side bar is also pretty annoying because there is just so much going on there, ads, extra discounts and arrows, ugh! It was easy to create a log in, find items and check out.

First Impression: Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream! This keeps popping up as a recommendation for fair skin, and I was pretty doubtful that this would work when I looked at the swatches on my arm, but since I had a couple of samples I thought why not give it a go! ^ ^

"Skin-perfecting BB cream whitens, smoothens and protects skin in one application, making it healthier with continued use. Rich and creamy formula contains hyaluronic acid and yogurt that effectively hydrate and nourish, keeping skin soft, supple and well-hydrated. For a flawless base, smooth on BB cream on cleansed and toned skin. Follow with foundation and end with makeup.

First Impression: Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about the Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack! This is my first water sleeping pack so I was super excited to give it a go since my skin is quite dry at the moment! ^.^
What Does It Do?
"Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack includes Swiss Alpine extract, it is absorbed without stickiness and also formulates moisturizing film to supply moisture and nutrition onto tired skin by daytime to keep your skin moisturized until next day. Various beauty ingredients give shaping effect to make skin elastic by tightening skin while sleeping. Suitable for all skin types especially those with dry skin.

Directions: Cleanse your face at night. Apply an adequate amount of product on the entire face avoiding eye and lip area. Do not rinse, leave the Waterdrop Sleeping pack to hydrate your skin while you sleep.

Ingredients: Water, Butenglycol, Cycolpentasiloxane, Cycolohexasilicone, Glycerin, Portulac Oleracea Extract, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Archillea Millefolium Extract, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Artemisia Asinthium Extract, Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate, Sorghum Bicolor Stalk Juice, Hyaluronic Acid, CI 42090, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA"(1)
This Sleeping Pack really is something new for me! It comes out like a pale blue gel, then once blended out onto your skin the gel stays on the base of the skin and water droplets pop out! Once with water is patted back in my skin feels really hydrated and has a slightly wet look.
Look how cool it looks!

Unfortunately this Sleeping Pack doesn't really help keep my skin hydrated during the night at all which is a shame since it's so fun!
Would I Purchase This Product?
No. This just feels like an unnecessary step for me since it doesn't provide any extra hydration. The description mentions that it should make your face tighter, which I didn't notice at all either. It's totally fun and gimmicky, perhaps it would be better for Princesses that don't have such dry skin! I will update this when my skin gets oily again! ^.^

Fail Pale Products: Foundations / BB Creams

Hello Princesses!

Today I'm going to be talking about some of my foundation and BB Cream fails!

I've tried a lot of Foundations, BB Creams, CC Creams and Concealers since I started blogging. I usually try to ask for testers or samples before buying foundations since my colour is not a "standard" colour. Sometimes I cannot get samples, or they don't have testers, but are cheap enough that I just buy them without trying, so I end up with a lot of products that are not quite right.

At a rough guesstimate, I would say that I have tried about 80 odd foundations, BB Creams and CC Creams. This may seem like a lot, but if you think that at least half of those have been in tester or sample form, then it seems a lot less insane! Out of all of those foundations, BB Creams and CC Creams, I have found under 10 that are the right colour.

Sometimes there are some products that I cannot really review, because they are too dark for me to wear for a whole day. If I can't tell you about how it wears, (oxidisation, oil control, lasting power etc) all I'm going to be telling you is what colour it really is! So I thought that I would show you guys some swatches of products that I couldn't review, aka, Fail Pale Products!

(Click on the images to enlarge)

First up is Kleancolor's Velvet Moisturizing Liquid Foundation in Translucent Beige.
This was a very cheap buy, ($6NZD) for what looked like a super light coloured foundation. But when I came home to wear it, it turns out that it really is translucent! It doesn't cover pores, scars, redness or any veins. It's literally a tinted moisturizer that doesn't really moisturize or provide any benefits for my skin.
Next up is L.A Girl's Perfecting Liquid Makeup in Ivory.
This was another cheapie, ($7NZD) that looked so promising, but turned out to be the wrong colour and with an awful consistency! It just kinda moved around my skin without sitting, or absorbing, or doing anything but looking flakey and horrible. Urch!
Here are the arm swatches from Kleancolor and L.A Girl. You can't really see anything in the last picture because they really just disappear. How am I supposed to review products that just disappear? *grumblewasteofmoneycheapproductsgrumble*

The next set of swatches are from one off samples and the Rimmel and L.A Girl, which are in there for no good reason at all really.
L-R;
Laura Mercier Moisturizing Foundation - Warm Ivory
Rimmel London BB Cream - Light
Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream
Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream - W13
L.A Girl Perfecting Liquid Makeup - Ivory
The next set of swatches are from my semi-recent ASOS haul, where I bought some Rimmel London products that turned out to look a lot different to online swatches.
The Rimmel London Match Perfection in Light Porcelain is a pretty good match in paleness for me, but is quite pink-toned and therefore not very suitable. The other products are laughably dark considering that they are the lightest colour in their range. The BB Cream is the darkest out of the three products.
Left; Rimmel BB Cream, Light. Right; Rimmel Stay Matte, Ivory.
My last set of swatches is from my latest destash of Foundations and BB Creams. I tried to order them from lightest to darkest, but some are a little out!

I still have a lot of Foundations, BB Creams and CC Creams to photograph, catalogue, so I'm sure there will be a part 2 to the Fail Pale Products! I hope this was helpful for people looking for moderately pale foundations and BB Creams!
